My dad and I sailed on her Aug 29-September 3, 2022. We enjoyed it and didn’t want to leave the ship. It was my first cruise and my dad’s second and there was just something so special about that ship. Seeing this video makes me smile. I even bought the small replica of the ship since she is coming to her end. Thank you for this wonderful video.
@@travelingwithrebecca it has a charm to it like no others. It may be a bit dated on the design but personally I like it. It had a good life and gave amazing vacations to many. It will be missed but greater things are to come.
I agree. I was really impressed with how well maintained she seemed. I have been on significantly newer ships on various lines that were in a lot worse shape.

Christmas week 2000 I was on the Ecstasy or Fantasy (idk) out of New Orleans. The one with a huge woman's hand on one of main atrium decks. Farcus interiors were FUN interesting and playful. We had a great time and it's when the gym was adequate with both steam and sauna for men and women, included. The work and craftsmanship it took to build these ships is amazing. Thanks for this great video remembrance.
I put several of my bands on Carnival ships for 5 years in the mid 90's. I had two extended tours on the Ecstasy. Much of it is the same. Much of it is new (mini golf, water park, etc.). Its sad to know that all the ships I was on (Holiday, Original Jubilee, Original Celebration, Tropical, Ecstasy, Fantasy, Sensation, Fascination) are now all gone. I was also on the Dynasty before its first cruise, but I'm not sure if she's still in service.
I never went on this ship but always loved seeing it in port when I was on my only cruise on the Carnival Pride. I'm going to miss the decor of this ship.....I loved the chrome and neon design on the interior.
This was the very 1st cruise ship I took with my then-girl. Got married and have been on 7 more cruises since then. Went on this ship in 2012. Feel in love with my wife on this ship and decided on this ship I wanted to marry her.
