That's awesome Jay, I am excited for you... I remember my first cruise and I hope you love cruising as much as we do! I will be on Horizon again in a few weeks, so if you have any questions, shoot me an email at thecruiseworld@gmail.com. We will also have some vlogs coming out in the next couple months from this ship. Have fun, and thanks for watching.
@thecruiseworld thanks to your video, I feel like I will have the inside scoop on what to expect when the family is at complete aww lol. Great content, thank you for your hard work!
this is my favorite carnival ship I recently did celebration and all my family agreed that the ship was nice no doubt but horizon is just better the only good thing that horizon is missing is big chicken those chicken tenders and sandwiches are GOOD!!
You will love the Vista and Panorama as well, as they are nearly identical! And yes, since Horizon has Guys Smokehouse Brewhouse, take the outdoor Pig & Anchor area and make it Big Chicken…. That would be perfect!
Me and a friend went on this cruise last year when we were 15 I mean this might be one of the best cruises for younger solo travels and just younger teens in general
My kids had a blast on the Vista, which is very much like Horizon, and they would agree! Thanks so much for supporting the channel, and I hope you are cruising again soon!
Have a great birthday cruise Tiffany! Leon is scheduled to be the Cruise Director for your sailing... We haven't cruised with him yet, but we've heard great things!
Me and my wife just came off the Horizon on Sunday Aug 28 .... very impressed being my first cruise 8day southern carribean cruise .... will be doing another cruise in the future 🙌 😎
Very happy to hear that Rodney! Horizon and her twin sisters (Vista & Panorama) are amazing ships! We would love to hear more and see some pics of your cruise over in our Facebook group. Tha ks for watching, and welcome to The Cruise World!
can you tell me please how much can you do for free in terms of non payed food or drinks? of course I'm talking about soda only and food apart of the buffet and pizza. Thanks!
YES!!! Cousin Cookie is amazing! If you haven't already, check out our interview with him... and thanks for watching the channel! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-72Pxxp3qmFQ.html
@@thecruiseworld That was our third cruise. Went with MSC and Marella before. No cruise planned yet, but will definitely cruise again. Want to try NCL, Princess and Royal.
You are very welcome! If you want to get to know your cruise director, check out this video... Have Fun! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HgvP1QfaK9A.html
That's awesome! I think you will be amazed at how big the ship is. There is so much to do that it is easy to forget your not on land. Have an amazing cruise, and thanks for watching.
I am sailing on the Carnival Horizon Dec 21 threw 29 2024. This will be my first ever cruise I am looking forward to everything especially the SkyRide. I am booked in The Havana Balconies.
Hey Todd, that is awesome! But be warned, you may get addicted! The Havana area on these Vista class ships like Horizon are AMAZING! Don't know if you have an Aft balcony, but we did a video of this Havana cabin on Horizon last year. Thanks for checking out the channel! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sZB5dI-Pb5U.html
This looks very similar to the Mardi Gras, which I experienced last year (minus the roller coaster, which was forgettable). Glad to see it has all our favorite bars and food options. We well be on the Horizon in a month assuming the 737 max isn’t still grounded.
LOL, 737 or no 737, I'm sure you'll find a way there. The Horizon, as well as the Vista and Panorama are very popular with cruisers. They have a great variety of food, entertainment and relaxation in a ship that's not gigantic, but still a nice size. I hope you have a great cruise, and thanks for watching--Mark
You are very welcome Cynthia! If you have any questions let us know over in our Facebook group or at thecruiseworld@gmail.com. We were just on Horizon last week and had a blast!
Wife and will be on the Horizon next week Sunday the 17th. What sucks is I tested positive for Covid 2 days ago. I’ll be going on the 15th for our Travel Covid test. Hopefully I will be negative by then. The wife is negative now and hopefully will remain that way. We both are so ready for our cruise.
I hope so too Tony! I just got hit for the first time right in the middle of a 2 cruise Europe trip... so instead of being on Odyssey of the Seas right now, I am stuck in a hotel room on the outskirts of Rome. But hey, we will cruise again soon, and I sure hope you guys are good to go on the 17th!
Looking so forward to sailing the Horizon. 3 weeks away and we will be on. So very excited.i am apprehensive about getting sick as my last cruise I was so very sick the whole time. Do not know what clothes to pack
Ahh, we used to overpack SO much... we have whittled down our clothes packing as the years have gone on.. Whatever you pack, just make sure it's comfy. Have a great time and thanks for watching the channel!
It was a pleasure meeting you and Steph in Ocean Plaza on the Horizon! I would like to know when you did your videography.. the ship looks so empty.. I believe we were above 80% capacity... I did enjoy the ship and liked the dreamscape (minor quibble, don't like shower curtains, but Mardi Gras had doors). We were on Mardi Gras and we booked Celebration suites, next year at the same time in January, when the ships are less crowded... Chef's Table on Horizon was wonderful... Main complaint about Horizon was the crowds.. you couldn't seem to get into a comedy show... all pools seemed to be always slammed.. it also seemed that the Liquid Lounge shows were just ok... Chris "Donkey" Salazar was a great energetic CD... he may be a Flying Scotsman.. My wife is from Honduras, and we can tell you that the Latin Band in the Havana Bar was the real deal... we did our share of Salsa... of course the "Cuban" show in the Liquid Lounge was so watered down that they seemed embarrassed... We had lots of fun anyway, and we will continue to obey the laws of supply and demand and try to book when the ship is emptier...
It was great meeting you and your wife as well! I can't wait until we can relocate to Florida too... We did a lot of the filming early in the day... better when it's not too crowded. We loved Donkey as well, and I was able to sit down for an interview with him, and it should be coming out in a week or so. We really loved Mardi Gras as well and are looking forward to Celebration later this year! As far as the Cuban show in the liquid lounge, if you were at the later show like me, it was just a concert style show instead of the full production because one of the singers/dancers was injured during the early show so they had to adjust fire. Thanks for watching and hope to see you guys again soon onboard!
Thanks Eric! These Visa Class ships are very nice... plenty to do! We had a balcony on this one, but we usually just get inside rooms--we barely spend any time in the room anyways...
I was on the Horizon 8/24/19 and ran into Hurricane Dorian and could not get back to port of Miami for an extra 3 days. Will try again 8/28/22. Hope I have better luck this time.
Wow June, I hope so too! I would say it's almost a guarantee that the weather will be better this time 😂. Donkey will be your cruise director and he is great! We will have an interview with him releasing in a week or so if you're interested. Thanks for watching and have fun!
I've been on this boat twice.. This was the best ship with Carnival I've been on. Thats why I made sure every trip ive taken since has been on the Horizon.
The Vista class ships are a favorite for many cruisers! In case you didn't know, Vista and Panorama have the exact same layout with very minor differences, so I am sure you would enjoy those as well. Thanks for watching!
@clove8763 I've been on about 6 different ships. I personally like the overall look of the ship, the different restaurants and food options, The Sportbar was cool. They also have a movie theater. It really all depends on your preference.
Still trying to pay off the last one. Low in come disabled. Starting now on my horizon research. Mardi Gras didn’t help with a few things so we shall see if a smaller ship will help. I had asked for large print daily activity list❤
I hope they can take care of your needs. We're you in contact with the Carnuval staff prior to your sailing? I know there are some accommodations that they can assist with as long as it's planned ahead of time. Happy cruising!
Haven’t been on the Horizon yet, but been on the Vista, and this looks exactly like it except for the elevator mechanisms and Guy’s Brewery.(Red Frog on the Vista). Going back on the Vista in May. After this one going to check out a different ship, maybe the Dream, Mardi Gras, Breeze. etc. Love cruising. Active duty military and haven’t made the effort to put in the paperwork for leaving the country for a cruise like I should have until recently. But getting out soon so now I am a cruiser!!!!!
Thanks so much for checking out the channel, and thanks for your service! 5 years AD Army here, Hooah! The Horizon is a Vista class ship, and thus is almost identical and you called out the differences above. Panorama is also similar, with the differences from the Horizon being the addition of the Carnival Kitchen and the Jump Zone Trampoline park replaces the iMax. The Dream class ships are nice, but man, the Excel class ships are AMAZING! We were just on Celebration and loved her! Have fun and stay safe!
@@thecruiseworld Yeah, been Army 17 years now. About to get out on medical from a back injury so my “cruise life” is just beginning. If you’re still active, make the Army work for you, I learned things too late and chose the wrong MOS that held me back from advancing and deploying more, etc. Found a new passion in life, and that’s cruising. 😁
She's a very nice ship Paula, and you will be in great hands with Cruise Director Cookie. We have an interview with him here o. The channel if you'd like to get to know him. Have FUN!
That is an awesome itinerary... you will have such an amazing time! We are a bit behind on our vlogs, but we will be releasing a lot more from Horizon, including that cruise soon! Thanks for watching.
Spiked Milk Shake ?? Sounds DAMGERIOUS ...And Good .... Great tour ...Red Frog and Blue Iguana on the Pool Deck I'LL know where to find the Wife ... Great Tour MANY THANKS ....
Great video very informative about the Carnival Horizon Ship especially for 1st Cruisers I can't wait to experience it October 15th-23rd 2022 going out of Miami FL going to Bonaire, Aruba, La Romana, Amber Cove 🙂👍❤️
The elevators are officially inaccessible to blind passengers or those with low vision. Pretty sure there are staff members who will assist. Just have to have a sighted person tag along with, just in case. Otherwise, cool ship, internally, anyway. Just looks like a horizontal skyscraper more than a ship. LOL.
That’s a good observation on the skyscraper reference! And yes these elevators are definitely different…. I know there is an accessibility button on the screen but I am not sure if that is more to accommodate wheel chairs and scooters. Carnival obviously realized that this wasn’t the best idea as they only installed this on two ships before reverting back to normal elevators for their two newer ships. Thanks for watching
@@thecruiseworld Glad to hear that was just a novelty feature. By the way, I just learned about "ground" scrapers. So, I guess these massive ships can be thought of as "sea" scrapers. LOL
Guess I'll just wait and see once I board, first time on any cruise ship I'm sure it'll be a blast!! Open for any tidbits or do's and don'ts, pros and cons...., Thanks
If you’re up to it, the Skyride can provide some amazing views…. There’s no rush, take your time and soak it in…. In my opinion, best done in a sea day. The imax is great for movies, and of course, Guys Burgers!!! If you enjoy a good cocktail, find your way to the Alchemy Bar in the evening. Have FUN!
Great tour! I was just on it from 7/2- 7/9. I wasn’t as impressed as I’d hoped I’d be. This was my 2nd time with Carnival. I’ve done 4 with Disney & 1 with Princess. I really want to try Virgin or Norwegian next.
Sorry to hear that! What are your favorite things to do on a cruise? That can help you narrow down a line! I have sailed 6 different lines, and there are things I love about all of them! NCL is a great brand with some great ships and Virgin is definitely changing up the game. Have you thought about Royal? Here is a long to our Scarlet Lady ship tour if you want to check that and some other Virgin vids out. Thanks for watching! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rIcolvTFVMw.html
@@thecruiseworld thank you so much! I definitely want to go on NCL & RC. I guess with Carnival, it was SUPER crowded… I even caught covid! I’m definitely not stopping… there are so many to explore.
Great video. Very nice ship but the one thing about Carnival that drives me nuts is all of the eateries like the buffet, pizza, guys burgers and so on do not serve soft drinks. You have to go to the bar to get them VERY INCONVIENIENT
I agree... I am a big soft drink guy, and we actually just did a review of Wonder of the Seas and they have the freestyle coke machines... which are great, but there wasn't enough of them. Now, Mardi Gras does have some self service soda in a couple locations like lido marketplace, and ai know that some of the El Capitanos will have canned soda once the aft bar nearby closes down... hopefully this is something that will change. Thanks for watching!
So, we did the IMAX on this last cruise and really enjoyed it. Instead of a blockbuster hit, we opted for an underwater educational 3D film, and it was great! Have an amazing cruise, and thanks for tuning in!
