Aruba is my favorite island. I will be getting married there in 2024. Eagle Beach is the most breathtaking beach I've ever been to and is ranked in the Top 5 beaches in the world year after year.
Love the snorkel footage! The curious guy is an adult French Angelfish. The juveniles are almost all black with bright yellow stripes and as they get older the stripes mostly disappear and they end up looking like the one that was so curious about you. Renaissance Island looks great. I'm going to have to add it to my long list of places to visit. Totally agree on your PSA. I have zero tolerance for people who pick at animals and treat them as if they are there for their amusement. Makes me crazy!
Dee & Jay: Francys and I met you both a few times on the Horizon Aruba cruise and you both were so welcoming, considering how big of RU-vid stars you both are. You were just like you are online funny and witty. We got a chance to talk again at Amber Cove for a few minutes, thank you for that. I wish you both all the success and happiness you are the real deal. I hope to share more drinks and more conversation in the future. Michael
We were on the Breeze last week and had this exact same menu. The meatballs, salmon cake and bitter n blanc were amazing!! That flamingo beach looks so cool!
What kind of float is that? Where did you get it? My girlfriend needs one and we're going on the Horizon in two weeks! Thanks for the awesome content! Love y'all!
I think that was a French Angelfish but I could be wrong. And Blue Tangs for sure.I can not wait to snorkel!🐠🐟🐙🐡 Dee is right! The Flamingo side is the place to be.Incredible video. Thanks for sharing!🥰🦩🦎
I totally agree with your PSA. It is so irritating when people treat animals poorly just for a photo opp. Often times at the beach even though it’ll clearly say don’t feed the birds, people will try to feed them for a photo opp. Next thing you know you’re being swarmed by seagulls. This one lady did that exact thing on a recent beach trip then wanted to swat at the birds with a selfie stick cause they were chasing her daughter who had a bag of cheese puffs. Exactly why there’s signs saying don’t feed them! Some people don’t have any common sense. Love your videos though. Thanks for sharing your vacation with us ❤️
We thought about running up there, but didn't want to mess up a perfectly clean room if we didn't have to, though we had technically paid for it and had the right to use it, ha ha... :P
@@parodeejay hi guys !! We love to see your videos !! And we are going to Aruba in carnival Magic on november!! And we would love to go to Flamingo Island . I would like to know how much is the day pass in the Renaissance . 😊 thank so much
That's an adult French Angelfish. There was a juvenile on earlier in your video (it was black with yellow stripes). I saw a bunch of these when I was in Aruba years ago as well. Really cool.
Oh wow the pretty flamingos! Love them! They just kind their own businesses. I hate when people abuse the animals for no reason. Now the iguanas I would DIE in that chair if they came that close to me! 🤣 But honey they have fried mozzarella sticks in the MDR now?! Oooh wee! Yeah that Aruba sun seems mean. Jay do you not swim or snorkel at all? Never seen you do it! Thanks for taking along for the day! ♥️ -Lacey
That looks soo fun. Now that I have seen this video, I will have to put that on the to do list. We have no plans to go to Aruba as of now but would like to do this in the future.
Omg!! I love this! I'm going on a 10 day Southern Carib on the Enchanted Princess next March.I will definitely be visiting those Flamingos.Especially now that I know I can snorkel there.I usually do Catamaran snorkeling excursions in Aruba but the beach day will work for me.Did you book a day pass with the cruiseline?Or book through the Renaissance directly?
It's all done directly. Renaissance Aruba sells the day passes for $125 per person normally which includes one meal and one drink, but they weren't offering them when we went. The room rates can very drastically, but I'd say look into snagging the least expensive room you can, and see if the math makes sense for you. Definitely a fun day on a private island, ha ha... :P
We were fortunate to find a travel agent rate, though the resort claimed we wouldn't be able to get one! If memory serves, we were about $160 for the one night.
Glenda were you able to find anything out about a day pass. We are on the Enchanted in March as well and thinking of doing the same. I can't find anywhere to email them so I'm wondering if you found out anything

We have cruised with Carnival many times. My husband would always get a double order of escargot! Have you tried? I loved the molten chocolate cake, which I'm sure they don't have anymore :)
I love Aruba! It dawned on me... this might sound crazy, but I was like .. since yas started cruising again :-) there's been no mention of "the book" ya know the coupon one and of course the charms(which I know you have almost all of them , however there is a port on this one that you haven't been to isn't there? Anyway .. I know weird thought but... lol
La Romana isn't particularly known as a shopping port so I don't think the book had any coupons for it, and I don't know that they've ever had a Diamonds International, or at least there didn't seem to be one there at the port... boo!! :P
I love the fish footage but could you try to add captions on what dee says because I love to see her talk to her fish friends ❤ I always love your guys videos. They make me happy 😊
Thank you for the video. I've been debating doing this but might want to venture away from water activities next time I go to Aruba and look at some of the desert side.. Hard decision lol
Amazing snorkel footage! Loved your PSA about the flamingos but have to say, you're a better person than me because, I would have said something....nicely but she would have got my point. Just sayin'.
Do you have to purchase the day pass in order to go to flamingo island? Did you spend the night at the renaissance hotel? I’m trying to figure out what all is included in the day pass. Thank you and keep up the good work! Can’t wait to see your Mardi Gras vlogs next week
Yes, to get to Renaissance Island, you need to have either a day pass, a night at the resort booked, or there's some other way you can book a beach massage through their spa, but we didn't look into that one. The day pass includes food & drink, whereas a night at the resort doesn't, which is odd.
Could you give me more of an idea of how long the boat ride was and when you had to be on your ship? How long were you at the resort? Thanks very much :)
I'd say the boat ride over to the island took about 10 minutes from the resort. Our ship was in from 9am until 11pm that day, so we had a nice long day!! :D
Hi Dee and Jay. I will be on the Carnival Horizon November 27th and Aruba is one of my stops. I enjoy going on a "Snorkeling Excursion" where they take you out in the ocean to a diving location. Do you have any recommendations?
I was able to book on a travel agent rate. So for me not to bad. It varies. I believe it was about $280 for 1 night when I was looking under the standard rate. They do sell day passes also but weren't been we went.
@@Dee-of-ParoDeeJay Hi there! Love your videos. My questions is if the hotel allowed you to check in that early in the morning, as their check-in is at 4pm. I will be there next week too and I booked a night but I am concerned if I should book day before or the day of in order to acces the island early morning.
All of the Aruba swimwear was from Old Navy, but we do have some high-waisted swim bottoms in our Amazon shop that are a staple as well!! :P www.parodeejay.com/amazon
Love this vlog. Jay and Dee i do have a question about how much was the stay there to be able to do the flamingo beach?. Or do they offer one day pass?. I am planning a trip to Aruba and would like this info if you guys can help. Thank you so much would love to meet you one day. Safe travels cant wait to see the Mardi Gras vlogs.

Yes, if you have a night booked, they allow you to use the property as soon as you arrive that day. I think we were there for the very first ferry run!! :D
That ship behind you at 2:13 the Freewinds is actually the ship owned by the Church of Scientology just as an FYI. It’s supposed to be all sorts of out of code and used to be the Bohème and then was part of Commodore cruises , then Majestic Cruises . Long history, be interesting to see the interior, but lots of weird juju happening on that ship
We are going to Aruba on the Mardi Gras later this year. How do you get a day pass to Renaissance Island? I’ve looked on the hotel site but can’t find any information. Thanks!
We are going to Aruba next year for the first time, looking forward to it. Love to know all the details on the Flamingo Excursion. Do you recommend it?🐱🐉
Dee I HAVE to know what shoes you were wearing on embarkation day. They look like Sperrys. I absolutely LOVE those shoes and I NEED them on my feet. Lol.
I check out the day pass and 1) it was $125 pp and 2) they're sold out! Even for my Aug 31 day. Also the room for one night was $685 so looks like this is NOT going on our itinerary,,,waaaaa
They didn't have a date of when they said day passes might come back... boo! Yes, those nightly rates were all over the board from $200-$400, but I didn't see any as high as you did! Yikes!! :O
We're doing these same back-to-backs in February. Is the Renaissance worth the money? We know Aruba well and plan to spend the day at Arashi (our favorite in Aruba) beach unless we can get talked out of it.
@ Angie Fairbanks Can you snorkel on your own at Arashi Beach ,like from the beach? Is there a lot to see? I've been to Aruba 3 times on Princess Cruises.I have always booked snorkeling excursions on Catamarans which weren't really great for the price.I prefer to go out from the beach like Dee did in this video and be on my own time.Any help is appreciated.😊
We paid for one night's lodging at the resort, giving us access to the full property. We didn't even end up going to look at the room, ha ha... They do have a day pass option, but it seems to be confusing and difficult to get!!
Is Aruba not international? Ha ha... we've been trying to get some Europe and Australia into our lives, but everything we booked has been canceled!! :P
