Wow. That was my first ship I sailed on. It’s funny while I was on that cruise I won a free cruise, I could choose a 3,4, or 5 day cruise and of course I picked the 5 day and went to the Bahamas.
My first cruise ever was on the Fantasy Class Ship. It was the Fascination! Honestly I dislike the ship! It was small and I felt every wave in the ocean. That ship had me walking sideways. I promised God and all of his angels I would not sail a small ship again and I didn't. So, let me say this ParoDeeJay you make ever ship experience a fun one and that is what enjoy the most. I can't travel right now because of work. However, when I have Spring Break and my big summer vacation I hope to be able to travel like you! I really enjoy your excursion too! Thanks so much for showing your good times. I feel like I am traveling with you!
Elation was our last cruise before the shut down. We were in U53, ocean view. It was a connecting room and was a little bigger than what you have. Loved the big shower. It really looks nice with all of the upgrades. I would sail on her again, but my husband said that that ship was a little too small for him. We really like the Liberty.
If you're flying into Orlando and heading out to Canaveral the day before your cruise, like most people, Go Port is only helpful if you stay in a hotel included in their package. If you have your own hotel booked outside of their package and all you need is shuttle from MCO to Port Canaveral the day _before_ the cruise and then shuttle from Canaveral back to MCO the day the cruise ends, good luck.
Bringing back some fond memories! Our first 3 cruises were on the Elation! Love that ship, gonna have to go see about sailing on her again! So looking forward to seeing more!
I Love the smaller ships!...I started out cruising on the Carnival Tropical (don't thinks it's in service anymore) Can't wait to start cruising again!...Have a great time!
Good evening, do you guys remember if there is a steak house on board or a cucina, I watch the series the other night. Don't remember seeing either on board in the videos. I'm getting mixed answers from Google. Ty guys for all of your vlogs, we are going on her in October.
The elation was my one and o ly cruise in 2019...hope to get to cruise again one day..I loved the elation..took my granddaughter with me..5 days to half moon cay and Nassau..I had a blast..we had an ocean view room as well.
I have been waiting so long for Monday because I knew y'all would have a great video and I the elation has always been one of my favorite ships in carnivals fleet!!! Thank y'all for a great video and I'm only mins into it but don't worry I always like and watch the whole video over and over again :)
Fun times!! So glad to see you enjoying the older ships…they need love too!! Was the cabin that Dee didn’t want the stinky one? Much love to you both. 🥰
This brings back memories of my first Carnival Cruise on the Elation 12 years ago. Love the New York theme decor with the Chrysler Building and Statue of Liberty head. Wow...I just cried a little. 🤣🤣🤣
I can see my reflection in my monitor. It's turning green, it's just a shame that you two get to live this life! Whaaaaaa! Sailing almost every week! For Shame!
I truly love these old beauties! Looking forward to the Mardi Gras in under 4 weeks but can't wait to be on the Legend and the Freedom later this year.
That is a cute cruise ship! The room looks a little smaller than I would like for my cruising experience, but other than that, I think I would love to experience this ship! Thank you for sharing your adventures!
Awesome post. I'm glad to see it still retains those crazy Joe Farcas designs with the awesome new upgrades as well. Happy to see the Elation is going to survive.
Fantasy class ships are our favorite. Sad to think that after this year, there will be only 2 left 😔 The Facsination was our favorite. Sailed on her 3 times.
Love these so much! I watch all of them! Can you tell me where you get your testing done? We are cruising in a little over 50 days for the first time since the pandemic out of cape canaveral! We are soooooo excited!
So where do they do the comedy show at now. The comedy lounge was at the back of the ship in October 2019. So did that new part get built during Covid?
So the first night is casual so you can wear jeans? Also what time is the show? Do you have to reserve a time for show. Is there one or two shows at night?
Normally, they don’t care much the first night because they realize folks might not have received their suitcases in time to change for dinner. No show reservations are needed at all… doors open about 30 minutes prior and it’s general seating. There should be two showtimes each night, typically around 7pm and 9pm.
I use a CPAP and find it amusing that an older ship has an outlet near the bed to plug it in and the newest, all newest technology ship Mardi Gras doesn't. We had to get an extension cord for my CPAP. Lol
The ship looks ok but I am excited to get a better ship than this sailing out of Jacksonville at last. May be able to get on a cheap cruise on the Spirit once it starts sailing from here.
Sailing on the Elation in August. I think sailing on these Fantasy class ships is cool - you’re part of history because soon they will be no more. Looking forward to any tour of this ship. I’m excited for August and would love to see what Elation has to offer. ~Inge 😺
@Sea Cats - Welcome to Jacksonville for your cruise! I hope you get a chance to look around our city. I'll probably see you on your way out as my route to/from work has me crossing the Dames Point bridge (the ship passes under it while leaving port!).
@@jema2609 Unfortunately, our ship changed to the Freedom and we are still leaving out of Port Canaveral. But hopefully, we’ll get to sail on the Elation and out of Jacksonville in the future 😀 ~Inge 😺
Can you guy tell me if a negative covid test are still required 2 or 3 days before boarding? I want to book a cruise in September but if I can't get tested in the required time, I guess I am out of luck.
We sail on the Pride (first time on Carnival) in March. We are vaccinated. Online Carnival shows we need to be Covid tested at least 2 days before sailing & must have printed results in hand to board. We fly out from Baltimore Thursday afternoon (we work in the morning), spend Friday in Tampa, & board the ship on Saturday. Do you have any recommendations where to get tested? We are concerned because in our home area it is taking so long to get results. Also, if we rent a car at the Tampa airport on Thursday, we have to return it there on Saturday. Is the best way to get to the cruise port via Uber? Thank you! Love your videos!
Ooooh, we haven't! I'll have to search them up. We're still trying to find a place that offers a parking package for the length of the cruise, free breakfast, and maybe even shuttling. That seems to be tough to find in Miami for us so far!! :P
When they started the Fantasy class, they would reference each deck by its name rather than number… Riviera, Main, Upper, Empress, Panorama, etc. Turns out numbers were a LOT easier so they phased that out, hah.
Hello. I was wondering about how many passengers were on this cruise (an estimate)? About what percent capacity was it running would you say? We have a trip coming on the elation soon and I was wondering how busy we should expect it to be in “coronal times” 😁
I was on this cruise with you! I passed by your room so many times on this cruise and didn't even notice it was your room! You didn't have your sign up🙂
Question Ding Dong how does Go port deal with back to backs? Do they just charge a set price for the additional days of parking? If you do not need a second hotel stay.
