Carnival Sunday at Cromer starts with a special service at Cromer parish church and is followed by refreshments at the Hotel de Paris; it's then down to the seafront for the Miss Cromer crowning ceremony. This year Adam and 'Mrs Brown' from Cromer pier show were on hand to do the honours. Some splendid transport was provided for the morning, as you'll see. Surprising how quiet a steam car is.
It was then off to the Carnival Field for very traditional activities; the 'Bonnie Baby' competition, the 'Glamorous Granny' competition and the 'Knobbly Knees' competition - followed by the children's Fancy Dress. If you thought such events died out 50 years ago, think again - and there's no lack of support! If you like your tradition - or if you've a particularly fine pair of knobbly knees - come and join us in Cromer for Carnival Week!
