Very sensible. My wife ate venison throughout her pregnancy, I'm convinced it helped mother and child as well as providing psychological benefits. 13 years on, the whole family still has venison as a main food component. Well done Peter, another excellent vlog....

Another super video Peter on a subject that is very important. I find it criminal that the buffoons that run this country allow cheap venison to be imported from places like New Zealand into our game dealerships, so that our own deer are not taken for food, due to ridiculous prices being offered. Parks / estates are offered next to nothing per kilo for quality venison which sometimes makes it worthless to cull and process them. We are as you say over run with deer in this country. Its a disgrace that we are not making the most of the situation which would improve our way of life as far as, health, the economy, conservation and the passion we share for hunting and deer management. People need educating but continue to follow the narrative being pushed on food. Many thanks for this one. Please continue as its much appreciated by all who understand. well done Frankie, nothing beats grassing your first beast and taking it home for the table, I have been eating a carnivore type diet for a month now, I have lost 6lb, my snoring has greatly reduced, my blood sugar has reduced and on the whole I just feel much better, I do eat occasional green veg just to include a bit of fibre and something different on the plate, meat only for ever I feel would be almost impossible, for non hunters it might be a bit costly but I stalk mostly red deer and have 3 large chest freezers full, the family eat it twice a week in one form or another, I eat venison 4 or 5 times per week, can't beat it

The town I live in, located in Southern Alberta is overrun with mule deer. Many of them are limping from car collision injuries. Even pet dogs no longer pay attention to them which tells me a lot. When any species becomes overpopulated, health issue become apparent. Chronic wasting disease has been an ongoing problem here in Alberta that could be addressed by ramping up the hunting season to get to a more sustainable population level. In the fall I see wild elk herds on open ranges that number in the hundreds. That cannot be normal. Problem is...when talk of culling overpopulation happens, so does the outcry of city dwellers who have no practical connection to nature.

They taste delicious, and make good roast. In fact, you can make venison wellington with it if you're incline to.
