From The Carol Burnett Show (1967-1978) comes a musical number, a tribute to the music of the twenties. Carol Burnett is joined by Harvey Korman, Tim Conway and guest star Bernadette Peters.
Back when stars had so much class and not excessive fake ass. When stars had talent(s) and fans not just an Only Fans account. When entertainment persons achieved sucess thru hard work not excessive twerking
I just really enjoyed this entire performance, but I’ve got to say that the 20’s were evidently a little more “bell-bottomy” than historical photos would leave us to believe. 😄
“Nagasaki” was 1928. Nobody on this show would have known it at the time, but the main melody for what became “We’re In The Money” dates to 1928 or earlier. Most of the songs date to 1931-1938, so in a sense, you are very much correct. This would have better and more accurately been titled a HARRY WARREN medley, as he wrote the music for every song heard in it.
