I'm not trying to be a skeptic, but I find this to be unbelievable. Less than 10 minute workout is too good to be true.. This bike is beautiful but the price is outrageous.
Being skeptic is a good thing! I encourage you to check out www.carolfitai.com/showrooms for a location near you and try out the bike. I've had this bike for two years and I can tell you it delivers on its promises!
The 20-second all-out efforts can be effective, but the idea that you have to get a special bike to achieve it is silly. Does your body know the difference between an all-out sprint on a fan bike and a Carol?
It sounds as if you are saying that the airbike sucks more than CAROL and that that is the main reason to choose a CAROL bike vs an airbike? Isn't it possible to get the same or close to the same metabolic responses from an airbike workout using the same protocol? Thanks.
That's not what I meant. While you can certainly get the same benefits on an air bike, you'll have to spend much more time on it (and endure more pain) in comparison to the 2x20 seconds you go all out on CAROL. If you were to do the CAROL protocol on an air bike, it would be dramatically less effective.
Would you consider this a good option for someone who has really struggled keeping up with the 45+ minute workouts on Treadmill and no success riding an air bike? I’m in average shape and slightly overweight and just looking for something to supplement my healthier diet without cutting out all of the foods I enjoy! Loved the video just looking for another push to spend the cash!
Hey Eric, I think you'll have much greater success with CAR.O.L than with a treadmill or an air bike. That's mostly because you have to ride CAR.O.L for only 8 minutes, 3x per week. That's 24 minutes of time investment. Better yet, it's only tough for 2x20 seconds per ride :) I haven't published the video yet, but you can get a sneak peek of my latest CAR.O.L video, talking specifically about weight loss: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--30U0ZmiXdE.html I'd also encourage you to check out michaelkummer.com/health/diet/keto-paleo/ - I know you said you don't want to change your diet, but chances are you'll find high-fat foods that are just as delicious as their high-carb counterparts and that will expedite your health and fitness goals.
Hey Eric my wife and I have used Carol for three months and can say it’s an incredible machine that I would gladly pay 5k for. Let’s just say if our condo burned down one of the first things I would buy would be a Carol
Great video - thanks for sharing! Couple of questions: almost a year later, has your opinion changed at all? I see conflicting information regarding weight loss - would you recommend this for someone whose #1 goal is weight loss?
Hey RJK! My opinion of CAR.O.L hasn’t changed. I still believe that it’s a great exercise tool to lose weight. But don’t forget about diet, nutrition and sleep because I also believe that you can’t out-exercise a bad diet and poor sleep. Check out michaelkummer.com/health/healthy-lifestyle-guide/ for what I mean by that!
Hi Michael, great video! I was leaning toward purchasing a CAR.O.L but didn't know the differences between other similar bikes. I'm a PT and understand the benefits of consistency. I always say the best exercise program is the one that you will continue to do. I work out consistently but I'm strapped for time. I never liked cardio workouts because they are time consuming. Definitely purchasing a CAR.O.L.
Michael, do you think the Car.o.l provides a better workout/cardio results than 20-30 minute HIIT/tabata workouts on Peloton the same three times a week or does it just provide comparable results in less time? If the former, what would be the best way to judge the better results?
Hi Joy, The subscription is for all the AI calculations, progress reporting and leaderboards that are required for some of the training modes. Without a subscription, you can use the bike as a regular spinning bike but you won't be able to use the core benefits of the bike (the short spring workouts that rely on the backend).
Great video, as always. The core differences and categories you elucidate up front are essential and so well explained, especially the "motivational factor." To me, this is one of the (many) factors that makes Car.o.l the clear champion.
Hi DH, I would say that CAROL is as safe for those on beta blockers or those who suffer from hypertension as any other form of physical activity. Check with your doctor but I don't see why you shouldn't use the bike.
Hey Mike, great vid man. My take aways: 1) best bike for fitness and time=Car.o.l 2) Bike with best motivation (fun) is the Peloton...This is actually less from your video and more from the fact that I have one and love it ha. 3) Boo Assault Bikes!! (motivation factor -10) :). In any case, it was very informative and well done as usual! Side note, you should've put Peloton in the title, people are always searching for comparisons to it!. (for the views/clicks).
Hey Kellon! Thanks for the feedback man, I appreciate it! If you ever wanna try the CAR.O.L, come on over. I'd love to hear your take on the ride :) Re title: I agree...I wanted to include Peloton and I'll actually do it :)
This is absolutely absurd, all Peloton needs to do is create classes that mimick this. Similar to powerzone training but with sprints. People also want to take some time of their day to think about nothing.
I don't think it's that easy. Peloton could certainly mimic the protocol but they'd have to develop the software and algorithm first that continuously adjusts the resistance of the bike while you're sprinting. That's not at all how Peloton works today and it's certainly not their philosophy. There is nothing wrong with spending an hour on a bike, not thinking about anything - but it's a different approach to what CAR.O.L offers. Neither option is absurd and both have pros and cons.
For me I think it's more fun to do hitt workouts with sandbags, kettle bells, ropes and echo airdyne bike..and actually I rather to do hitt workouts or circuit workouts for 20-30min..where I can actually sweat🥵🥵 and besides that I think it will be very boring to just do a workout where you just sprint for 8 minutes..I also think my wife won't wanna just sprint for 8 min sounds boring.. Don't see the benefit from Carol bike when I can do this on ECHO airdyne bike and IAM working out my arms too😁💪💪 the echo rogue bike is a beast and it's only $900.
@@lepepeblanc2164 @Lepepe Blanc I didn't think you were rude :) Have you checked out the following resources: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6GvepxMJL3E.html and michaelkummer.com/health/carol-hiit-bike-review/?
