Carolan's Farewell to Music... Turlough O'Carolan, Ireland (1670-1738) Arrangement and played by Vicente La Camera Mariño Early Clairseach, (Early Irish Harp) harpantiqua.blogspot.com.es/
Thank you Mssr. Vicente La Camera Mariño for sharing this tremendously powerful and important tune, and reminding us of the immortal grace and gift of great art. "'Beauty is truth, truth beauty,' - that is all ye know on earth, and all ye need to know." ~ John Keats
Vincente, What makes your version of this great piece, is -your empathetic interpitation of how a dying passionate musician such as O'Carolan would feel, as his life ebbed away, and how he would have mastered it for the people he trusted and loved most, as he lay on his death-bed. The best musicians for me are the ones that give the most honest delivery of what the composer is trying to portray or say , and not about how flash or stylish it can be played or sung. Otherwise, it focuses more on the artist, than on the music or the composer. Thank you again for your empathy, honesty and skill. Mike
Thanks so much for your kind words... I do really try to express as i can what i feel, what music is telling me .... Glad you liked it, its a beautiful piece indeed
Enhorabuena, Vicente!
