I just love Carolee met her after seeing her off Broadway playing Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd back in 2017 and she was the sweetest human ever.

@@leonle7465 Glad you included Donna Murphy, another "real singer." Only saw the (bootleg) video of her Dolly, but it was sung beautifully and her acting was fantastic.

Yes, she replaced Betty Buckley in the national tour version of the 2017 Broadway revival and played the rest of the run.

I had the pleasure of seeing this production in late 2019 and meeting Carolee after. She was absolute dynamite onstage, and we had a lovely conversation at the stage door, mutually gushing over some of the previous shows and the people she's worked with. SO glad my stop came before the pandemic!

Thank you so much for posting! I was lucky enough to catch her in the show right before it prematurely closed. She’s just as incredible here as I remember, and I only wish her time in the role hadn’t been cut short.

On the 20th Century, Kiss Me Kate, Sister Act, Scandalous, Finding Neverland, Tuck Everlasting, Hey Look Me Over!, 1776, and hopefully soon Bad Cinderella. All but BC shows I've seen Carolee in. Too bad she didn't do this in or near NY where I saw Bette, Donna and Bernadette. I would have seen it a fourth time for her.
