What program is this? The sound quality of the brass instruments is actually very good, maybe too good. This sounds more like its been played on concert instruments instead of marching instruments. The Mellos sound too much like French Horns.

I use Finale 2014 for notating. I am also using a French Horn sample for this recording. I personally like the sound of the horn rather than the mellophone.

It looks a lot higher than it actually is.... in the opening mello feature it shows a Bb on this score but it’s actually G....

The winds parts sound amazing how did you get those sounds? I also can't read the score it is to small. I want to use this as an arranging study could I get the PDF it is for education research only

I personally hate the sound of the instruments for drum corps purposes, especially the mellophones. But that doesn't take much away from this fantastic transcription!

Take this transcription and get a different sample. Especially those horns. They don’t sound like mellos at all.

Does Finale 2014 not have pitch bends/gliss for trombone? It would work for the trombone solo.

I filmed a mellophone sectional from Carolina crown when they were in the lot at DCI Atlanta They played high B's and C's... It's great.

I've played through this on my Mello and the mello book that you have sounds right but it's notated wrong. That key signature looks weird for treble clef too.

It's shocking, Abby, isn't it? Conventional knowledge of the instrument would lead one to believe that writing for the instrument in that way would be impossible, impractical and actually pretty silly. Yet, it's actually fairly idiomatic for Crown's mellos, who are clearly superhuman.

if only a real brass section sounded this good they wouldn't add all these moving lines nonsense or thease uneccessary beats at 4:54 to try to make it more interesting because the chords themselves sound so good. the 4:52 is an example of a good sounding chord
