Crowns brass is the highlight of this Corp. They always seem to get the fullest and most balanced sound. Great show but this year's final number along with their drumline will keep them from going any further. That being said a very good year. Good job 👑 Hopefully they come to California again!!
Jesse Cano I live for their hornline. Total scores are always nice, but I mainly look at brass caption scores because that's what I enjoy listening to and critiquing. Crown always delivers!
Yes, but they did get 5th and 3rd at the two biggest regional shows. Southwest championships and Southeast championships. It's all subjected to the judges and that's the reality. With that brass line which is on point if they want to be in the mix for a title the percussion and color guard have to be in the top 2 consistently to have a shot and I don't see that come championship week.
I think the crown set is already added if you look at the 12 mins mark. With their show being like abstract this year, that could be their crown set. They might make it into an actual crown. I really hope they do because I don't anybody can get the "new" crown set.
Kelvin Chau yah I know that's why I'm sort of scared that this is their actual ending. but usually they change up their ending a little more than this so I'm really hoping that they have something else cuz I'd be really disappointed if this is their ending.
So cool to see it all put together after watching them all day before their show Saturday night. They never did a full run of course but it was awesome seeing set to set. What an amazing production! :) love it!
Justin Boncosky Just quickly researched! I remembered talk about a Mercedes-Benz Stadium being built somewhere in ATL--just didnt realize it was in exchange for the Georgia Dome. Well, that's also kinda sad.
I was there and I wanted the new dome but they weren’t ready yet which was dumb but who cares cause I’m going this year again and I’ll get the new dome even though I got to preform there with my high school marching band already lol. I just want that resonance
Clearly the best brass of the year, but this is the first Crown show I haven't liked since 2001. I even liked Rach Star, even though that wasn't my cup of tea. Sigh.
Joseph Marsh out of all the crowns they have ever presented the crowd with, this is by far one of the most in crown things they could’ve done, you can’t even tell it’s a crown at the end. I would’ve rather had a deconstructed crown and then put it back together than this excuse. Also if the crown in the beginning is better than the end, there’s a problem.
Justin Boncosky it is, this is the regional that they have been premiering their crown, this is it, they may add something to the end but they aren’t going to be changing that crown
The point of drum corps is to entertain the crowd. If a show isn't dramatic, it's boring. Why would anyone contributing to the corps take a whole summer to make a show without the drama of performance. That would be defeating the purpose of Carolina Crown, and drum corps as a whole. Period.
