The Carolina Panthers will wrap up OTAs on Thursday afternoon. Next week, the team will hold a mandatory minicamp prior to the taking a six week summer break ahead of training camp. Panthers head coach Dave Canales met with the media on Tuesday to provide updates on where the team is at as OTA conclude. Julian provides his takeaways from what Canales had to say.

I don't care what anybody says. Preseason is a good indicator as to if the Panthers can move the ball and stop offenses. They don't have to win but we need to see they can move the ball and stop "D" fences.

@@begasuwp How did we let Luvu and Chinn go? Our linebacker core is looking weak. Or am I wrong. Did Luvu and Chinn command too much money?

@@kingoftsedeq1392Luvu got 3 years for 36 mil so the team may have thought he isn’t worth that much for sure. Chinn was barely even being used. I don’t understand that entire situation honestly.

Sanders signing was a joke especially since he was the RB in free agency over a year ago stating that RB's are underpaid. They guy has been hurt and is ineffective when on the field, classic case of a player being a product / system of the team he was on more so then just evaluating him based on his ability / skills alone. Anyways he stays more than likely this year no one is trading for him and we can release him after 2024 reg season and save $8.175 million in salary cap with only $2.95 million in dead cap and we also have a potential out for two years at $13.2 million with only $2.95 million in dead cap. Either way in 24 or definitely in 2025 Sanders is gone. It cost more to release him this year than just keeping him etc... we could always find an injury of some sort and put him on IR designated to return as well (cough, cough) like other teams do not do this already.
