Missouri Spartan the reason the song was different was because the sponsor, GE, didn’t want guests to wait til the future to buy their products, they wanted them to buy their stuff today. So they asked the Sherman brothers to write a song reflecting that. They didn’t like it, as the original was made for Walt and meant a lot to them, but they had no choice but to do it
The Carousel of Progress still is one of the best memories of My child hood . As now an Adult I love it just as much as I did then . Love 💝💝😘 Robert in Philadelphia
While this version is harmless (enough), it sure is lifeless! It just seems like they're going through the motions instead of showing genuine emotion like in the current version.
90s Walt Disney was awesome I still hold it close to my heart after the 90s some improvements they made are ok and even good but it doesn't come close to what we all grew up with
Only now noticed the dog has multiple names in this version 'Buster, Sport, and Queenie.' The current version being 'Rover.' Everyone talks about the second sister but what about the multiple dogs?!
in this version the theater moves before the song starts, but in the current version the theater moves at the same time the song starts, I think that's cause in the year 1992 making the theater move at the same the song starts was not a thing.
Idk how everyone is like, " its so good!" Yet im over here like gurl i could never ride this, animtronics scare the crap out of me j could never i would cry.
I first saw this version of the Carousel of progress ride in 1988 on my first trip to the magic kingdom at walt Disney world and it was awesome for an 11 year old.
Yeah, its not the original attraction to be sure, but unfortunately you can only get what you can get with the technology of the time. Thanks for the "ride".
I went on this in 1988 and it went 101 on the 'turn of the century' scene. The show scene looped at least three times before the carousel began rotating again.
Andrew Duggan, character actor who starred in the western series "Lancer" and appeared in movies like "In Like Flint" (as the President) does the voice of John. In Act IV, Grandpa's voice is James Gregory (Inspector Luger from "Barney Miller").
Failed when the Carousel of progress open in 1964 there a great big Beautiful tommrow when it went over to magic kingdom now is the time now is the time Played from 1975-1993 and the they bought there a great big Beautiful tommrow back from 1993-2021
I used to love this ride - because there was a modest chance it would get jammed or malfunction - resulting in an impressive shudder and jolt on the mechanism.
I went to this ride a couple of days ago and it did malfunction so we heard the first part twice and the same one as well, then theyd just shut it down for that day 😂
