I think a Mack Power Splash in the Rip Roarin Rapids area would work best there - it would give Carowinds a water based ride outside of the waterpark, which it desperately needs. With Cedar Fair working with Gravity Group on the retracks at Kings Island and Kings Dominion, I could see them turning to Gravity Group to build a new woodie or do a retrack of Hurler. I'd love to see RMC come in, but Cedar Fair is supposedly not happy with RMC's reliability. It's possible that we could see a relocated coaster from CGA too; I think Gold Striker or Rail Blazer would fit well at Carowinds. Eventually I hope both Nighthawk and Vortex are removed and we see a big new coaster replace both of them in that central spot in the park.

Yes burn vortex in fire then dump it in lava. But nighthawk? HELL NO. Nighthawk gets so much hate because of a rattle that isn’t even severe. Nighthawk is tall, fast, forceful as heck and always a good ride. And it’s not like thy need that much space for a woodie. The space from rip roarin rapids is enough for a woodie. And nighthawk gets huge lines.

I’m dying for a new woodie here because Hurler is so boring and doesn’t even feel rough it does nothing for the park it should get more exciting

Our family is annual pass holders. We just got a survey the other day asking about how we felt about more indoor attractions and shows. We loved the idea. Since Carowinds is now a year round park, this would bring in way more people (including us) in the colder months and have a more diverse line up year round other than just the typical ride.

Annual pass holder as well. If the park is going to be open all year then I really want to see two focus areas: 1) There needs to be more dark rides and indoor rides. Blazin Fury style rides that are mild, but built around a story line or even an indoor slow moving boat ride like Pirates of the Caribbean in place of Rip, roarin rapids... Simply put, we want some rides that aren't tied to whatever weather events are going on. 2) There needs to be more shows. Legoland Florida really works their outdoor theater often and the rotating shows never disappoint. Dollywood really puts effort into their shows. Some are just really interactive theaters like the Country Bear Jamboree. All of these would give us a 1-2 hour addition to our day. Getting rid of the water rides in preparation for changing to year around operations really hasn't brought us anything new for a mid December visit. The predictions in this video don't really seem to push us in that direction either. Guess we will see. :-)

if they were to add a swinging pendulum style ride like Delirium at Kings Island and Kings Dominion, make it the larger version like the Harely Quin Spinsanity at six flags America. It only like 25 or 30 feet taller, but wow what a difference it makes.

I feel like instead of a family coaster in vortex’s plot, I would more likely see possibility a retrack and floorless trains for vortex. If they didn’t want to put at least floorless trains on it then burn it in fire then dump it in lava.

My 5 year prediction: 2024: Mack Power Splash in the old Rip Roaring Rapids plot. 2025: New GCI modern wooden coaster with a twister layout with airtime similar to Mystic Timbers throughout the layout, also having unique elements such as a tight zero g roll with titan track in the Thrill Zone area. Has a backwards facing train with 2 or 3 normal trains. 2026: New slide complex in Carolina Harbor with a launched water coaster with saucer elements and a tornado raft slide. 2027: New Antique Car ride in Camp Snoopy and a new Zamperla Giga Discovery in Aeronautica Landing. Copperhead Strike gets a train modification with a spinning back car. 2028: Hurler gets the RMC treatment with the type of lift hill used on Wildcat’s Revenge and elements and airtime like Twisted Timbers, but also has a zero g stall and large wave turns.

I wish this was the case, but that’s a lot of money in a 5 year span, a Mach Power Splash is really expensive. I wouldn’t think they would get another rollercoaster a year after that

I think that theyll give the grizzly treatment to hurler in 2024, steepen the drops/steepen the banking on the turns and reprofile the roughest parts

Also vortex is currently SBNO and is receiving a new panel, I think it might be getting floorless trains or just getting fixed up so its not as bad.

I like to think that Hurler will get the RMC treatment like Hurler at Kings Dominion, and somewhere else in the park, they can get a short but sweet GCI family-wooden coaster similar to that of InvadR at Busch Gardens Williamsburg

@@Neal_Marshall The issue is that RMC hasn’t fixed any of their internal problems which caused the catastrophic issues that lead to Steel Vengeance being a disaster. There is a 0% chance of them repairing relations in the foreseeable future just as there is a 0% chance of Cedar Fair execs allowing an RMC to be built
