Carowinds Fury325 - TESTING HAS BEGUN! Opening This Weekend?

Fury 325 started testing late last night around 11pm... So I hopped into the car and headed over to check it out... And sure enough, it's testing and will do so for 9 hours a night the next 2 nights! I share when I think Carowinds Giga Coaster could realistically re-open!

You could go skydiving and get a 5000 foot drop before the parachute opens lol

@@JJJJ-he8bz The drop isn't the same. When skydiving, you don't feel anything when dropping because all the air is pushing against your body. On a roller coaster, you feel forces. It wouldn't be right to compare coasters and skydiving lol

YES!!!! Love hearing that B&M roar.. maybe they can take that rattle out since they have the time haha!! or would it not be a B&M without that little rattle that seems to be synonymous with those coasters. Just glad to see it up and running and testing. Hopefully from your indications that this will be open sooner than later. Looking to be there and riding several times with the fam in august for our annual fam day trip. thanks for all your updates. Def been following. I am ready to keep riding coasters as you say haha!!

I see alot of folks love the iconic B&M roar, I'd say this one is slightly different than the LOUD 90's B&M roar's, this one is unique as the rails are sand filled (not sure about the columns), which helps the sound of the wheels stand out a bit more. This is by far my favorite coaster soundtrack, ever since I saw off-ride footage back in 2015.

I am totally shocked. I thought it would have been down the rest of the summer. Do they just have extra supports laying around? I doubt it. I'm guessing they paid really good money to get this support made and installed as quickly as possible. Very impressive.

Cool part of getting one reproduced is all B&M needed was the column number.. they sent that to their fabricator in ohio with any build changes and knocked it out in record time. Not sure if they had to a little length for a possible drooping footer, but I'm sure they surveyed it out ahead of time. I imagine they beefed up the post in terms of thickness and were very thorough during any welding process

Park security has no authority on public property. If it was in fact a public access road, don't let them boss you around. You can look up public road surveys to see where public roads end and begin. There is public easement on the side of the road, people think they own land up to the road, but they don't. The local government owns the land on each side of the road for signs and utilities. You are allowed to be there.

They have the intimidator which is their hyper coaster. It’s not as good a the fury, but it’s still a very good ride. They also have copperhead strike, which is their newest coaster, it focuses on hangtime.

I know that the redundancies built in to the entire design made no absolute danger to the riders during the brief period of disconnected support, even though it's absurd that park guests had to point it out. I go on wild roller coasters, many of them similar to this one, and other B&M, and I will continue to do so. I question what the rush is. Everyone involved dodged a bullet quite unlike any other bullet. If the incident had progressed to a worse place, park guests would have actually witnessed Final Destination. Not something like it, they would have watched the real thing. Fortunately, that did not happen, in part due to a design that allows for freak incidents, and the remainder of the structure was able to temporarily take the load. All of that includes the original build time. The original build time included time for things to properly cure and settle and weight to distribute. That's months of time before a train ever raced across a track. For unknown reasons, it seems to be the fastest possible race to replace and reopen, which really isn't a very good look, and really makes me question everyone involved, who dodged a very special kind of bullet, and now seems to be signing up to see if they can do it again.

It's REALLY hard to base a trip off of this... However, I will say, the goal (as of now) and this could change of course... but I am hearing the goal is Friday opening. So, again, take that with the idea it could not open friday too... But I really think it will... I will be there friday on Fury watch... lol
