@@mag818 what hooklink do you use? I’m trying esp tungsten loaded but the putty won’t grip. Also tried tricklink in 25lb but is too stiff and closed gape of mugga
Just coming back to carping, never used a “German”rig I’m sure I’ve used something very similar, like to see it in the water, It’s basically critical balanced “wafter”. I don’t know, trying to see what makes it “German” is this a sort of reinvention of an old rig? I’m pretty out of date with this all
So what actually makes this rig, the German rig - is it the hook swivel and bead part? Because I see this as a combi rig really with a lazier bait mounting option than say using a rig ring and hair. Most of the German rigs I see don’t strip back the coating. Can someone clear this up for me, to be honest not that it really matters
It was invented in Düsseldorf in 1929 by engineer and philosopher Frederick Von Riggenventor. He went on to invent several other rigs, but was never given credit for them and died penniless in 1954, from tuberculosis.
