Thank you very much for reminding me how to tie it so it kicks out perfectly every time. After a very long break from fishing due to illness, you forget all those little special tricks that help you catch more weary fish. Subbed you because you explained it perfectly..... Again, thank you very much.

Being an angler of 60+yrs, I must thank you for being the most informative/helpful angler on RU-vid (along with Jamie Hughes). Your hints/tips have certainly improved my catch rates as a pleasure angler, which obviously adds to the enjoyment of just being on the bank. Thank You so much for sharing these improvements to presentation, which, no matter how much you pay for rods/reels/poles etc., the bait presentation is the most important factor in angling. 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I tie my hair rigs in exactly the same way. But having big clumsy fingers I used to struggle holding the hook securely without it moving while whipping the shank. So I got myself a fly tying vice to hold the hook securely for me and that made tying my hairs massively easier and a lot more accurately. I hope this tip might help some people with the same problem I used to have make their hair tying less stressful . Great vid Jon as always!

This video has been a great help. I'm not brilliant at holding fiddly things but I enjoy fly fishing also and tie my own flies - I find the use of a fly tying vice is also helpful with tying hook lengths etc. They can be found quite cheaply on eBay etc and if you struggle with dexterity can be a great help.
