Matt Stryker sounds like a name of that mercenary with no emotion and robot-like efficiency that gets hired to hunt down the main characters and does so with terminator-like determination, only to let them live and walk away in the end because, frankly, this entire thing between protagonists and antagonists is too much trouble to get involed.
I think it sounds more like the (possibly evil) military general command person guy who either assists the protagonist, hunts them down or is fighting against both the protagonist and the main antagonist.
Picked up Trilogy recently and must say that cruising down the interstate, windows down, in a leather jacket and mirrored aviators to this song was truly a spiritual experience.
The whole song is excellent, but 2:55 and onward is GOLDEN. And the guitar screech at 3:18 gives me chills every time. I just recently discovered your music, Mr. Brut. I must say, everything I have heard thus far is nothing short of marvelous. You keep composing, and I sure as hell will keep listening.
MikeyB The Human "OHOHOHOHOHO! I'M GONNA CRUSH YOU THIS TIME, HEDGEHOG!" definitely for Eggman because that's the first thing that came to mind upon hearing this..
Plot Twist: Near the end of the movie, the cop finds out that his old partner faked his death and was running the cartel the entire time so that he can dominate the streets with his experimental drug that took years to create. After learning his old partner betrayed him for world domination, he chases him down with the intention of taking him down.

+Phreaker1997 They're referring to a character in Hotline Miami, Carpenter Brut's songs were featured in the game, so most of Carpenter Brut fans came here because of HLM +Fartfigneugen That means Jacket wearing a jacket, jacket-ception
Came to you after watching The Guest recently as I have a stupid, crazy love for those throwback 80's films that hold true to the style of the time, and that films particular music choice was stunning. So, in search of that sweet synth I found you, Mr Brut and my god how you have risen. Stunning work, keep making this sweet sweet shit you beautiful human.
This is one of my favs next to Looking for Tracy Tzu and the obligatory Turbo Killer lol I even snagged the trilogy on vinyl for whenever I'm feeling particularly boujee
I've been listening to this song and others from TRILOGY for the past 3 days while writing my police investigation/noire short story. It really gets me into the mood to write this kinda stuff.

"'Shit.' Whispered Detective Graver as he heard the car in front of him rev its engines and peal out on the rain-slicked highway. He knew his tail had spotted him. He pulled back his shifter to six and his car came alive, growling in response to the light-less Viper. The suspect weaved in and out of traffic as if it had rehearsed the route. It was a Biolithe. His hunch was right. Their cars carved a route through the midnight hailstorm, the flash of lightning and the tears of shrapneling metal off of the margins of the highway kept the evil thing in sight. With a metallic scream it reached out of its window and bullets crackled against Graver's car. Graver returned a single shot into the back wheel of the Viper, causing it to twist through an exit and ramp the margin into an alley. Graver slid into the road and blocked the flipped Viper, rushing out to trail the yellow, glowing fluid of the bloodied monstrosity into the cavernous alley. He arrived to a steel door knocked from its hinges by the thing. 'Got you, bastard.' He turned on his flashlight and ran in. It wouldn't escape this time."
A badass hehe, that's the kind of stuff I would expect in some crazy 90s movies. Actually I remember I Jackie Chan film where he played a race car pilot role, and there was a scene with him practicing fast shifting, which was hilarious.
@@maromo1 I think Lanky implies that you get more torque with lower gear ratios, ie. better acceleration, which means it is counter productive to shift up if you want to just start accelerating and pulling away
