@@SallyOlsonCarpentersLegacy I remember back in the day only 1 or 2 people having reel to reels. THey would buy an album and record it to the reel to reel and not play the album to keep it pristine. Real audiophiles!!! I guess Richard was into that and cars. I think Karen was into cars as well?

I love Dionne Warwick's interpretation of many of Burt and Hal's songs but would have loved to hear Karen do more of them. For me, she us voice wise the GOAT.

@@ChuckHackney Somebody here is doing AI vocals of Karen doing covers that provoke thought. Also checkout MOSOGOTAM'S YT channel for his extended remixes of various artists including the Carpenters...I think you'll enjoy it. Andre Previn's Theme from The Valley of The Dolls was a huge hit for Dionne that came outside Burt & Hal's bubble...I would've loved to have heard Karen tackle that one. I bet it would've been awesome. The music we have around today just isn't the same. But I'm glad I was around to hear it when originally done & discuss with folks like you. Enjoy!

@@barneshomestead1240 Yes, Barnes homestead, we were truly blessed. I give thanks every day for the songbook of our lives, the music and times we grew up in. You are right. You can't see it in this video, but it's actually up in the drum loft behind me. As we are recreating the Carpenters' 1976 show I perform a drum feature like Karen did, rather than drumming the entire show. I will be posting a video of the drum feature in the not too distant future. Stay tuned. 😊
