We've been wanting to capture our show opening on video for a while and the surprise factor is so exciting, especially with the recent changes we've made since opening at our new Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in the V Theater in October 2023. Although we missed the opportunity to film the show opening in my hometown of Rutland, Vermont in early April, we just had the opportunity to capture the moment in the Carpenters' hometown of Downey, California at the Downey Theatre, part of the Carpenters 55th Celebration. So, as you can imagine, the audience's reception was overwhelming...and the show was SOLD OUT! We ended up piecing together a couple of cellphone videos from two sources to convey the entire opening sequence, authentic to how the Carpenters opened their show in 1976: Thank you, Francesca Soltau and Kathy Crowe Perez!
