I operate these machines regularly, and this is actually a very fair assessment of how these machines work. It takes about 20 minutes for 5 liters of mix to reach the desired consistancy, and based on the frost that can be seen on the cylindrical container, the right amount of mix was put into the unit. Not sure if you're just trying to discredit Carpigiani, or you just have no experience at all with gelato, but your claim is false.
