I've had three SMX's for a few years now and fished in all winds and weather. The left hand alarm started playing up almost immediately, the sound works fine, only the blue light on snag ears doesn't come on anymore. The light on the roller and receiver comes on to indicate a run, so it's only a small issue in my opinion. As with all the alarms I've ever owned I always make sure they are taken out of the bag and dried after every session. My delkims are thirty years old and still going strong, so I think a little bit of TLC goes a long way to ensure good alarm performance in the long run.
I’ve had a set of the prologic R2L alarms (the most expensive alarms they make) for just over a year. And they have pretty much fallen to bits. Buttons missing, volume doesn’t work any more. I’d honestly never buy anything by prologic again. Heads up 🤷♂️
I bought these alarms 2 years ago from Rad Fishing in South Africa and they were faulty in the 1st week of purchase, they made false beeps which the shop thought it was a sensitivity setting at first. They had a last set on the shelve and I made a mistake by agreeing that they should repair them instead of a refund. I'm still stuck with the faulty alarms to this day and they make my heart bleed whenever I look at them😢. I just hate the entire brand honestly.
Of course Adam is going to say they are great, that's what you do when you are being paid/sponsored by the company. This is Not a valid review and the correct term is marketing. You can't tell us there are no downsides to this alarm why not highlight that in the " review"... Most things have their pros and cons.
Why does these alarms all look like they have been designed by the same guy...they almost look the same as the Sonik baitalarms as well as the Anaconda Tiki Taka set which has been around for several years now?...was it just a simple copy/paste job...????
Had a set, one session in heavy rain didn't work anymore, got a refund... From the 50/50 reviews I'd say there was large batch that were not qaulity checked before being sent out for distribution.
Had the previous ones of the smx alarms stainless middle speaker. Horrible alarms. Didnt trust them at all. Water could get inside easily. Battery life on the is poor. On one toner bites the alarms would cut out stop working after several bleeps. I had 3 replacement sets and ended up selling the 3rd set due to all the issues. My advice to anyone wanting these alarms dont. Go buy nash r3 or Eric customs.
