Carr Throws For Over 500 Yards in Wild One! (Raiders vs. Buccaneers 2016, Week 8) 

I’m still convinced that if Carr hadn’t broken his leg at the end of the season, this Raiders team would have won the super bowl and Carr would be MVP. This was a magical season that almost was. Carr would be looked at so much differently than he is now. Instead of a good to above average QB, he would be thought of as an all time great.

I remember watching this one. This was a good year to be a raiders fan. I still can’t believe our punter picked up a 4th and 24 all by himself. Side note: for the record, I am no longer a raiders fan since they moved out of state.

Aw, the good ole days (1 yr) Carr was a MVP candidate, Cooper & Crabtree could catch everything, Del Rio was the 'gambling' coach on 4th down, Mack was in his 3rd year, about to win DPoY, Irvin & Malcolm brought on Super Bowl mentality to the defense, despite still being 20th.

Raiders were hit with 23 penalties and still won against the Buccaneers in overtime 30-24 thanks to the late game heroics of Derek Carr!

This game was INSANE. The Raiders had the most penalties with 23 in a game, and still won. Plus Derek Carr throwing for 500 is also outlandish. Probably my favorite game that year.

Now that Carr is on the Saints, I just think that this team has a slight chance of making the playoffs

Lifelong Raider fan. I've been a Derek Carr fan since before he was drafted - he is a born again Christian with a similar testimony to my father, also a born again Christian - and I am all in on the Saints this year. Can't wait to see what Derek does in New Orleans.

This was pretty much his entire time with the Raiders. Having to come back from adversity. Now he will have a defense which is what he didn't have in Oakland/Las Vegas.

I remember this game so vividly lol. At the time I lived in Illinois and it was hard for me and my dad to watch raiders game since we'd either get the Packers or Bears games. We traveled to Wisconsin to visit my grandparents and was able to see some of the game via someone's Facebook live stream. My dad gave up on trying to stream the game and i finally got it to pick up the game on the last play when Carr hit Roberts for the walk off TD. Sad to see Carr go but the organization really didn't give him much lead way going into this next season. Hope he does well with New Orleans. RN4L

Derek Carr was on an MVP pace in 2016, then he got hurt and he never regained that form. He was still good, but he could've been one of the all timers.

Say what you will about Derek Carr, the dude balled out this game and had a lot of similar games like this one. That 2016 season was one people forget about because he got hurt at the end but imagine if he stayed healthy.

Carr always been nice just was on the raiders and unfortunately during that time they were horrible on defense

Later this year they told Derek to do well for his first playoffs and break a leg. Unfortunately he never heard that expression before.

NFL is so soft. Breathe on a QB too hard and it's a 15 yard penalty. This isn't even football anymore.
