Carrie Preston's acceptance speech after winning the Emmy Award for "Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series" for playing Elsbeth Tascioni on Season 4 of The Good Wife. The Creative Arts ceremony was on September 15, 2013.
In 2013, Carrie Preston won "Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series." 11 years later, in this year of 2024, she will win "BEST LEADING ACTRESS in a Drama Series" for her OWN show named after her character! Once a great actress, always a great actress!!! 😍🥇🏆
Carrie is a superlative actor....so eccentrically portrayed; spot on. I love different and unconventional. If I ever needed an attorney, I want " Ms Tascioni" to represent me. She is as smooth as silk!!!👍😁
She was awesome in TrueBlood. She was so natural as a southern woman I really thought the accent was real. She should have received more recognition for that. She's a scene stealer in that show too.
What an outstanding group of nominees. I would have been happy if any of them had one. Carrie deserved the win. Her performances as Elsbeth were the definition of pure entertainment. 👜🛍️
That was a hell of a year to be in that category. Love that Carrie won, but hate that Margo had to lose for it to happen. She was phenomenal in _The Americans_ , which the Emmys largely ignored for most of its run.
