SPOILERS FOR SEASONS 7 & 8 Show: Homeland Music: Come As You Are - Blakwall Edited with Adobe Premiere Pro Carrie and Yevgeny: kiss Me: that elmo on fire meme #homeland
Carrie’s best chemistry was with Brody. He was the love of her life. Unfortunately with Quinn his love was one sided and Carrie only felt guilt. Don’t know about Yevgheny cuz I am probably not going to watch season 8. Don’t want to watch a Russian being portrayed as a “good guy” today, when Russians are killing thousands of Ukrainians.
There's no forgetting Quinn. He changed her in ways that were necessary. As for who she should end up with, I would've preferred Quinn, but I'm fine with Yevgeny. I wouldn't consider Brody the love of her life, nor would I consider her relationship with Quinn one-sided. She was very much in love with Quinn. But mistakes in relationships happen, and sometimes those mistakes can't be undone. She needed to end up with Yevgeny because he's a Brody-Quinn combo. What she loved about Brody and what she loved about Quinn... she's getting from this one man.
They had such chemistry but im still confused by the relationship! Were the feelings genuine for either of them or was it all pretend. I mean he hit her, held her prisoner for months, drove her insane , and then tells her to kill/betray saul. How could she have any kind of feelings for him after everything and if it was pretend why would he believe it. During their talk at the fountain he says he saved her life when she tried to hang herself and she seems shocked and like she believes him but really he is the one who locked her up with out her medication
I believe it was a bit of both, they developed genuine feelings for each other but were still playing each other at the same time. Yevgeny did do all those things to her, but based on the asylum flashbacks and the conversation by the fountain, he went back at some point, saved her from hanging herself, got her back on her meds for some time and that's when they started getting close, I assume. And then he left her again. "and like she believes him but really he is the one who locked her up with out her medication" True, but at that point he didn't have feelings for her. And Carrie was being held captive and used to Russia's advantage. It's not like Yevgeny could just decide to let her go or something. He was not the one running things. In conclusion, their relationship is problematic but I am here for it lol.
I didn't like Carrie with Brody. I liked her best with Quinn. Yevgeny is a lot like Quinn, so I'm fine with them ending up together. I viewed his push for her to kill Saul different than most fans. She can't pretend to be a "useful idiot" when he knows she's not. He was insulting her because she was insulting his intelligence. He knew Carrie was holding back because she didn't wanna betray Saul. When she told Yevgeny it must be lonely on his side, it was the most ignorant thing she could've said. Dante and Simone both betrayed him because of her. That's when it got real for Carrie, knowing she got Simone to betray him just as he got her to betray Saul... a woman he's been with for at least 11 years. Realistically, if she's to remain an asset for Saul, she'll need to remain in her relationship with Yevgeny. Eventually, those lines will become blurred.
Great writing to make a very interesting, complex relationship with a lot left up in the air, but in a good way. Wonderful work from both actors. That needle he stuck in her neck is humungeous. Really nice vid! Thanks.
bloody sold after one 1 second!!! sadly, my 'busy' ass still haven't catch up with the show so i'm gonna leave a fat like and leave it for later to watch...
idk but she has chemistry with all the homeland men except brody he ugly LOL the sexual tension between her and khan but they didn’t happened 😩 yevgeny & quinn thoooooo i mean she’s pretty but she’s rly brave and smart that’s why she could get any men out there ((i jusst finished binge watching the whole seasons)) mixed emotion cos there’s no s9 but glad they canclled not make it draggy like other series w 10+ seasons HAHHAHA
@@tcorbett72 yes but nothing happened between them i feel like khan likes her or just felt bad cos of they did to her after he found out carrie has a bipolar disorder
Yevgeny's 'relationship' with carrie didn't feel like a sincere, true and honest thing - unlike Quinn and Saul. He has some affection for her, although that could be a well-rehearsed act. If he really cared for her he'd never suggest she kill Saul. No doubt he loves being intimate with her. Carrie Like Saul? Sim. Carrie Like Max? Sim. Carrie Love Quinn? Sim. Carrie Love Brody? Sim. 0:18, 0:26, 0:37 Carrie Love Eyvgeny Gromov? NO. Carrie Love Dante Allen? No. Carrie love David Estes? No.
Hey Isabelle, What does "sim," mean? I don't quite understand... However, I looove Carrie, I mean she's so smart and fearless, but what if she can't really love somebody - maybe due to her sickness? I do think she came close to it with Brody but unfortunately he died. Quinn was too broken for her, even before his accident but Yevgeni seems to suit her... I must say I like them together. As to him asking her to kill Saul, it almost seems symbolic: kill your father in order to grow up/be free!
@@ellenarutsch7648 Well, I don't criticize the ending because the writers did it well. As for the arguments about Brody and Quinn, I don't see any problem. Now, about killing to get free is absolutely wrong as Saul was the most important connection Carrie had and that would be the colossal betrayal of her life. Now, about being with Yevgeny I think even though she likes a 'boyfriend' and respects as a professional it's an artificial connection. In fact, it's the cost of doing business to keep spying in Russia and not be so alone. Now it's not real love like it is with Saul, (Quinn and Brody) as she knows that if Gromov ever discovers her betrayal he will murder her just as he would the other woman, Simone Martin, whom he was ready to murder in the season seven. Again, I want to make it clear that I liked the ending, I just don't believe Carrie really loves a Yevgeny ready to murder her.
