You have to be very selective when choosing targets when playing Saipan. Then when you use that same selectivity when playing other CVs your damage soars. Saipan teaches target selection and plane preservation.
got Saipan B from Rei give away, I think Saipan is indeed difficult to play because the aircraft restoration takes so long and the planes carried are so few but have consistent damage
Had a superunicum friend who had tons of battles on Saipan In his opinion "It's good if you are good,but why should you tryhard so much when you have better cv's"
Informative video! I'm not much of a CV player, but have been trying to improve as of late. Over the holidays I managed to get Enterprise from a Christmas container, and I've been trying to find an updated guide for it but I can't since she was removed, and none of the old reviews feature the new captain skills. I would greatly appreciate advice on how to build and play it, since I'm struggling to get consistent performance out of it. I've had games where most of my damage came from the torpedo planes, and then I've had other games where my leading source of damage is the ridiculously high alpha AP dive-bombers. No two games in Enterprise are the same, and I'm somehow struggling to break 100k damage in a CV that is renowned for being overpowered. I'd greatly appreciate any advice and a captain build recommendation for it!
The main reason she's hard to play is because she was released before the carrier rework as a tier 7 CV and I don't think they changed her very much before they stuck her in tier 8.
She was godlike once rework happened cuz of the trolly AA system doing like 0 damage to squadrons. Now that the single plane damage is forced, she suffers quite a bit but still very strong in the right hands
For sure, she's dangerous all right. I meant the high skill floor for her is because she's uptiered from where she was designed. Having high tier aircraft helped her immensely there tho. And the fact she is so small, dimensionally, can also help her, thankfully the people who can play her well are pretty few and far between, lol.
