Carrier Vetting in the Logistics Industry: A Dialogue with University of Houston Students 

UTC Overseas and Urban Outfitters Engage with Supply Chain and Logistics Technology virtual classroom
The University of Houston Supply Chain and Logistics Technology program students gained real-world insight from two guest lecturers in the Practicum Capstone experience course, Tuesday, September 30, 2020, at 9:00 AM.
Guest speakers, Elton Poisler and Bryan Fathauer discussed trucking carrier vetting. Poisler is Director of Logistics, Urban Outfitters. Fathauer is Vice President, Midwest UTC Overseas.
“Understanding the importance of carrier relationships early in the carrier will benefit the students for the long term beyond their research assignment,” said Poisler.
Fathauer said, “The personal boots-on-the-ground approach is often overlooked in building carrier relationships.”
Marco Poisler, adjunct professor and chief operating officer, Global Energy and Capital Projects, UTC Overseas, said, “Elton Poisler and Bryan Fathauer’s participation in the virtual classroom enhanced the direction of the applied research that University of Houston students were conducting this fall and I am personally grateful.”
