This takes place in Zagreb, Croatia not Philippines. The transformer would then be transported to Cebu, Philippines. This is the footage in Zagreb.

I suspect because the only reason this transformer had to fly in a chartered aircraft was that there was a failure in planning. or it would have gone by ship.

What are the MVA and high and low side voltage ratings for these transformers?
@frankbrowne1849
@frankbrowne1849 5 лет назад
The last lead processing plant in the US was closed because of environmental issues a few years ago, today we probably have to import lead from china even to make our bullets. Transformer manufacturing requires a lot of dangerous chemicals. As is well known China's environmental rules are easier to work around, hence the corporations' profits are higher. It is almost mandatory that these factories be built very close to where these transformers will be installed. Power companies don't buy them very often. It takes several years to build the biggie ones so it takes a while to recoup your investment. Anyway, I hope you find this information interesting.

Lot of money spent in China using cheap labor. Apparently justifies large transportation expense.
