Really, who cares about the haters. He followed his passion in the face of years and years of people shitting on him. Never gave up and became incredibly successful following his dreams. A true success story.
Saw him on a clip-on Rogan... Now I am binge-watching him. He is a real talent and from everything I have ever heard, a great guy. The only criticism is the roids he was on for a good while and the plastic surgery, but other than that, I think he is awesome!
That's how I got here too. I didn't appreciate how clever his comedy was. I watched him when I was younger but I didn't get most of the jokes. Very creative.
Yeah he seems like a good genuine dude and u have to keep in mind that when your famous and yet still get tons of backlash and hate it can warp your brain and some people can handle it and some can’t. He probably did roids due to low self esteem and same goes for the plastic surgery.
I flat out dont remember Carrot being this edgy (for the times) when I was a kid I always thought the props were corny so never actually watched him but some of these jokes are really sharp-biting for the era

@@kidkique - Maybe not now but for decades he was *very underrated.* I think it was only in his last 10 years that he started getting the proper praise from his peers & the general public. At least he lived long enough to see it.
I was thinking that it was funny becaus like everybody else, i KNOW oj killed that guy and SOME people. Im not gonna say which kind, say "no no oj didny kill him"
definitely the most unique, original and innovative comedian of all time. remember when he first came out late 80's early 90's. there's absolutely no one like him ever.

I walked into a vip room in Vegas about ten years ago. Carrot Top was in the room and we just stared at each other for about five seconds and then i turned around and walked out. It was actually a sureal experience. I knew who he is and by his look i think he knew who i am but i dont know if he had a bunch of plastic surgery or what but his face peered at me like an evil clown. He is so nice on stage but he is scary looking in person...
I remember when he first showed up and he was great. He decided to throw it all away by changing his look so dramatically. I always felt bad for him , he was very funny.
i gotta give him his props, ct killed it on here. for some reason when i was younger i couldnt stand him, but i was probably in hs or jr college when this was new
I'm glad he got his life back on track. When Hollywood is done with you, it's a very dark place. I'm glad he was able to find his way out. Seems way too funny and normal to be one of those creeps.
Carrot top would go on to challenge himself by using heavier props in his comedy.....eventually picking up cars to use in jokes. "Hey why does your Dodge have a peace symbol on it....are you some kinda hippie? No its a Mercedes why does your Honda have a Star Trek symbol on it are you some kinda nerd? No its an Acura."
Apparently, Gallagher thought Carrot Top stole the "stupid part" of his act and went to his grave, angry about it. Didn't he know "imitation is the best form of flattery?"
