Got this new folding midi controller from Andertons specifically for travelling. Folds to 39cm and weighs less than a 1Kg. Its plays better than you would think. www.andertons....
Mine won't play when hooked up to any other computer or synth in any way. Guess its the cables. I've tried a few different combinations, changes of connectors, computers, phones, you name it, but nothing's creating midi anything. Only midi thing I did get from it, was hooking it up via bluetooth to GarageBand on my iPhone 11 Pro. Now, there's a delay because of the bluetooth lag.
It sounds like you have a faulty one. You also shouldn’t get a delay with Bluetooth midi. I’d contact your vendor regarding a replacement. Have you tried Midi Dins instead of USB. I had a very similar issue with a Roli Seaboard and it was a faulty USB connector on the unit
TBH I wouldn’t recommend for a beginner. It’s handy for travelling there are much better options around the same price especially on the second hand market for beginners
@@Angelstarscotland I managed to plug it into my laptop with a cable and play on LMMS DAW! I can't figure out how the Bluetooth works (it's my first midi controller) and I have Android so no GarageBand for smartphone use. Is there a way to play directly off this piano to a Bluetooth speaker for example? Do I always need an external device in order to make any sound happen?
@@lukeskywalker5418 I have this controller too (and a few others). It looks like you have it connected to your laptop via a cable and can get sounds from your laptop speaker. You would have to connect headphones to your laptop, not to the keyboard. Regarding Bluetooth, it won't work for headphones or speakers because of the latency (delay between when you press a key and the sound is heard from the headphone/speaker). Bluetooth is fine for connecting the keyboard to the computer or tablet (I use Bluetooth to connect to my iPad all the time). There is a relatively small amount of data that needs to be transmitted from the keyboard to the computer (what notes you are playing and the velocity) but there is a ton of data that needs to be transmitted from the computer to the headphones/speaker and that causes the delay.
@@Lance514 it wouldn’t be my choice of keybed to play by a long shot. But considering, it’s only £99, weighs only 950g, folds to 39cm and is velocity sensitive for travelling it’s a no brainier
