the string card is waaay more useful in the slot for effects than in the slot for items, unless you use it for the last item slot when the opponent has put two simple items and the attack needs a third. Otherwise, the string can always become useless with a double item

The 4 player dynamic is awesome 👌 Everyone got to say their catch phrases. Great jokes and banter the whole time but it didn't seem overcrowded. Great episode! Would love to see more

i like Beef's deck, not a meta deck just an all around deck but still competitive. Also shows how builder cards are still viable even if no one else uses them.

Beef... you have no idea how much your labour of love has meant to every single Hermitcraft fan. Speaking only for myself (though I am certain many will agree with me) when the Hermits get together you are all at your best. We've all wandered our solo MC worlds, waiting for a group of friends like you have. The support they have for you is because they are family. Love you man.

Idea: you can build TCG school ( place where you or other hermit teaches how to play the game and the rules all written in a book) you can start lessons on ever new card you add and all the changes.

2 v 2 is so fun! I think the alter ego cards with all the board placement tactics will make this very interesting... cant wait to see more of it!

Etho Alter Ego card: Ladders! One move will allow him to move himself to another location on the board (or even allow you to completely re-order your board to minimize or maximize positional advantages. As for the second and damaging move I don't know. But just an idea

Really nice TCG match. I like the 2 v 2 game idea. I hope some of the hermits make teams with specials 2 v 2 decks that will complement each other. For example both planning PVP decks so you can help each other with items sharing. And armor seems to be a must-have in both players' decks as it can really help keep your teammate alive and the one without armor gets focused down.

I really wish Pause could be there, even if it's just one more time.

With team building and teamwork, this could potentially lead to some absolutely broken build, loving it

Also love Trident, but with Joe's speech I was thinking it was going to be a 50/50 between attacking the active or an AFK hermit (cos tridents can be close or long range) and now I'm thinking that could be a really fun card, not sure what item... But basic damage and you don't know if it'll work as a bow or as a sword

Beef, I really hope you make a decent amount from your card sales. This was such a great idea and you really spearheaded this and grinded it out

Videos called Carrying Etho but man Etho was the one that kept healing up Beef's hermits keeping them alive so idk LOL

1:04:51 Definitely should go for the Cubfan here. If you go for the XB, they can just put it AFK next turn, dragging out the match. But if you go for the Cubfan, it also has to survive Etho's turn before it can go AFK, which isn't going to happen unless XB has Netherite Armor or healing cards (TFC does 80 damage, plus Pearl's 70 is 150, so with Cubfan at 120 HP they need to block at least 40 for him to survive). Edit: had not considered that Etho could on-shot XB with his TNT. Even more reason to go for Cubfan because XB was going down on the next turn anyway so it would've been wasted damage. Though I suppose he could have also one-shotted the Cubfan since they were both at 120, so then I guess it just comes down to which one you want out first. Actually in that case I think it would be better to go for the XB and have Etho take out the Cubfan, because the Cubfan can attack _and_ swap, whereas if the XB survived instead they would be forced to swap him out and lose an attack.

I dont know where the inspiration came from, but imagine a single use item card called broken elytra that makes the top(highest) hermit on your opponents board falls/swap to the bottom of the board and it damages every hermit underneath for 20 hp each up to a max of half of the falling hermit lol

as soon as the tcg concept begain I wanted to see 2v2 and I have to say, I am certainly not dissapointed. (I absolutely love this game mode and I can't wait to see more people playing it!)

42:00 Actually, I think it would be better to discard the TFC. You already had a TFC on the board with full health, Diamond Armor, and one Item. You had no Miner Items in hand, and the first one you drew would probably go on the TFC that was already out, so you'd have to draw a total of 3 Miner Items before the TFC in your hand got you any card draw. On the other hand, the Builder Item could be used with the Ultra Rare Etho immediately once a spot opened up, and any single Item you drew would be enough to fully power him up.

Had an idea to kinda spice things up a bit. A deck randomizer. Each player puts 2 or 3 of their own decks in the same dropper. They then each push a button once. Whatever deck comes out, that the one they play with.

It would be cool if you added rare Wild Card item cards to help make multi type decks more feasible

Idk if it’s open to viewers suggestion, but I think a berry bush card item card that you can place on the opponents board that adds a damage over time effect would be cool (like how if a player walks over a berry bush in normal mc it does damage). To make it balanced it could have a effect that is something along the lines of “takes two turns to go into effect and at the end of every turn the hermit this is attached to takes 10hp of damage” and you could make it able to be removed with a hoe item or another way to play around it could be to make use of the ender pearl card.

Beef! i have an idea a way to implement fire protection. The netherite armor theres the normal Netherite armor and a limited edition LEGENDARY version Called ( Nether Diver ) Description: Hermits that wears Nether Driver Protects from the first +40HP damage and is immune to Fire and Lava Effects. This effect will be active for only 3 times of any Fire/Lava damage Enchantment will be disabled after 3rd application. Discard after user is knocked out. I feel like since it should be a limited Edition card you should only make 5 of these cards and can only allow 1 to any user since its it will SO Strong

Aussie ping prevents the player you attack. If it has to cool down for the team, then the attacker should decide which to ping, rather than the one they attack. It should be either player miss, player protected, or team miss and team protected.

If XB had a boss cards like cub for his arena it could be something like 2 cards one being X and the other being B. Could do something like everytime you play an X or a B you can play its counterpart. Or even if you Play one of the two the other come on play as active as well, as long as they both have less damage than normal cards so its not OP

I like it. I think "team" as the opponent should be the same for every card. Aussie ping simple wouldnt be available to Etho on his next round. Its not like beef could have attacked with that card

The trident is an interesting card. I'd love to see a deck based on Gemini Slay and a ton tridents and other damage cards. Side note, I'd also just like to see Gem slay all her friends with tridents like irl. Or not IRL, but not in game... Well in game but not in TCG... Man games within games confuse me

Tip for a good Hermit Card! 😂 Special attack that does 40+ more damage for every hermit in discard pile cost of the attack is two blanks and you can call it Redemption (like every Hermit in discard pile will take thier redemption!) and it only upto players if tgey decide to maybe discard some hermit from their hand or if any card gets knock out the card could insta kill probably if you make your deck only for hermits and flint and steel 😂that could be lots of Fun to see! health 220 and secondary atta for two item cards and do 60 dmg... But I just dont know who can get this theme attack or If it should be good prankster card or PvP card

In Etho's last move (Aussie Ping for 70), XB accidentally took 100 HP off of False instead of 70, which was the only reason you guys could take the False out in one hit for your 5th KO... Whoopsie doopsie!

Man, I was really tempted to buy this game for myself, but I just couldn't justify it. I have no one to play it with, and I already have Magic: the Gathering anyway, so the cards would have just ended up sitting around gathering dust. And I already have too many MTG cards anyway.

Does that mean the ladder card can move a hermit from player 1 to player 3 so that player 1 can't play it in their next turn?

If Aussie Ping effects the team then the next attack from that team would be effected. Since they played it as the next attack from the player who's Hermit was attacked they should also play the "can't skip twice in a row" checks if the player skipped an attack in their last turn. This would also work more consistently for two Aussie Ping attacks from the same side.
