I just parked at the entrance and started recording. Lots of entertainment! more parts coming, hit the like button and subscribe! This was on Saturday, August 8th of 2020
This is funny. Even with my 2wd and beadlocks i still air down to 8 psi, and not use KFC bucket wheels. Key is have the tires that steer as flat as possible to float over sand, with some weight for the traction axle to grip. I learned the hard way also 😂😂
I've driven my F250 in 2wd quite a few times without issue, but I also air down to 12 psi when I do and also have 4wd if needed lol. I noticed quite a few people that have those kinetic ropes don't know how to use them, they use them like a tow strap instead of like a sling shot like you said.
Forget everything offroading, in the sand the most important thing is airing down. otherwise you need to have really good tyres and keep your diff locks. I've seen a C200 bashing dunes so it's really all in the tyres
Some basics for soft sand. 20" plus rims are JUNK! You want tire sidewall, and some flex. Air down and use light throttle. That was a dummy convention... 😂
Tire pressure people.. Never got stuck in my 2wd and I have driven past many stuck 4wd trucks. Drop tire pressure when pulling on sand like this and have a 12v air pump to refill once off the sand.
Great vid! Liked the narration. I was going to get my folks 2wd f150 until I drove there a couple weeks ago.. My 4runner aired down ate it up but don't think the 2wd will do me since I go fishing alone during the week. lol It's entertaining like being at a boat ramp on a busy day.. lol Where's the closest spot to air back up? My little compressor takes forever..
I don’t understand why people bring 2x4 trucks out in the sand your just asking for it. I would bring a 2wheel drive front wheel drive car before a 2heel drive truck , there’s just no weight in the back on a truck to push it threw the sand from a stop
Why do people just press their foot to the floor ? I mean it is common sense to just try an crawl around every where, I mean it is sand, you obviously gonna dig yourself in
There is no reason for anyone to get stuck in the sand. Be aware a fee is paid to actually be on the beach which is to be maintained by the Precinct. Access to the beach is always a problem with loose sand but no action is taken to resolve. Beach is not kept clean as part of the access fee paid. The State should return the beach as it was before leasing or turn it over to a private company for maintenance. It is ashame that all our fees to access the beach are placed in county general funds as I know the present Precinct Commissioner would take of the beach properly.
Or you know, the folks could just air down their tires and learn how to drive on sand, The state can't stop the act of nature continuously piling sand.
Please help me because I'm a newbie, I have a 2wd open differential pickup. Is lowering the air pressure to about 19lbs and trying not to loose momentum my only options when it comes to not getting stuck? Should I bother with traction boards?
12psi. Traction board definitely help as long as your not buried. Best advice I can give, if it’s super fluffy.... wait till there’s a clear shot with no traffic, pick a straight line and hit it in 2nd gear at about 25-30mph. Keep your momentum, don’t turn your wheels. If you start getting bogged, stop and use traction boards. Or wait for help.
@@captaincaveman471 I wonder if a manual winch / come along and a tire buried in sand would get me out. Like this. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AXYgCmufzTE.html
air down the tires and half of them will not get stuck.. that's why you want smaller wheels with larger sidewall tires, not those 20" plus chrome nonsense.
The Rav 4 come with good AWD systems but bad tires with huge wheels. You cant really even safely air them down with how big the wheels are. There's not enough rubber.
20" wheels, full tire pressure, no locking diffs... Moving there from CA... Long travel SVC suspension 1g raptor, MT's, 17 inch real bead locks, oem E-locker rear and truetrac front. A walk in the park.
Imagine the damage done to wheels by being stuck in sand and furiously spinning. I have mirror polished 20" wheels on mine, can't even think of how they'd look after doing some of the shenanigans seen here.
Everyone has 20s, no one's aired down enough (mostly because they fucking have20s), no one has their traction control off, it's a beautiful thing to see. And if the Jeep was drivable, why did Einstein have it on the trailer in the first place?? Is this TX or FL?
Then it wouldn’t be any fun. Lol. They actually do, they do it during the week, but when there’s a lot off traffic in the summer it takes a couple hrs on a Saturday for the sand to get soft again
@@HomersPulloutGame Oh, that's good that they DO CLEAR the sand a bit. I'm thinking of moving there in a couple of years from SanAntonio. Thanks for letting me know that they at least CLEAR the sand a bit here n there. Have a FABULOUS, WONDERFUL, BEACHIN DAY...ANYYY DAY!--The beach...HeavenOnEarth! #Truth!!🏄♀️
