I think its a Klaxon GP12. the Hospital got rebuilt between 2008 and 2012 and Klaxon stopped making the CS Sirens and stopped making GP8's in 2005 so it's a high chance its a Klaxon GP12 cause the old CS8 got removed
interesting that the lower tone is most dominant. this suggests the 10 port chopper is closer to the camera. i don't know where i'm going with this, but just have that in mind when searching for the siren.
The nearest siren to the hospital is just down the road ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5PUxpFfpbQo.html ). With this in mind, the hospital siren was probably designed only for the hospital, and it's very unlikely to be high up on a pole so that you'd be able to see it. It would be very interesting to see where it is, perhaps on a roof, but as you said in your talk at the start, it's very dodgy to be caught filming towards the hospital! I know we are only interested in the siren, but potentially anyone with a camera outside would get the attention of the police. However, just the sound alone is good enough and it sounds superb! Shame about the people in the bus stop, but well done for getting this video!
Thank you so much! 😊 I went back and filmed it again on Thursday there from a different angle across the road and the ambiance was even better! I've filmed the west end one too a year ago, so between that and the hospital siren so close by, the folk living there don't really need to worry lol but then again, with that village being on the doorstep of the hospital itself, I guess the aid of the 2 sirens would be better than 1, if something were to happen 🔊👍🏻
Apparently it's not roof mounted my friend said her mum works in the Hospital and she had to go in with her mum and she said it was on a grey metal pole. She said it looks very much like a Klaxon GP12 so mabye it could be
Sounds a bit line an air raid siren from WW2. My Mum and I went to visit a garden out in that direction and our taxi driver said that his wife was one of the cleaners at the State Hospital. I asked him if she didn't feel scared, and he said no due to the number of security cameras and staff that were on duty.
I found the siren on google earth it is quite close to train tracks but it is behind the building and is confirmed not CS8 is a GP12 can see it next to a lamppost it is between same building with out dirt track and one with dirt track but building are the same it a shame I can’t access street view to see it but still see figure
Awesome thanks! A few enthusiasts including myself have been looking for that for ages lol we had already had info it was a gp12 but great to know now where it is so thanks again! 🏥🔊🛤
@@thunderchild2756 - I did find it on a site about an hour later, I hate to imagine what that noise does to the residents? I used to work in a Mental Health unit here in Cornwall, spent a while working in Scotland - Carstairs looks altogether intimidating! 😳
