These races just felt like an EVENT. It was so cool to watch in the summer. They also look so fast as they peel out of corners. I'd like to see how much faster a 2022 F1 car is on the same circuits too.

You could tell from Surfer's that the entire attitude on Mansell from the American media and drivers had flipped a 180, from great guy incredible driver fan favorite phenom to let's create controversy, issues, and criticism of him. Bobby suggesting he's 'immune from penalties' by comparing Apples (Jr speeding in the pits...penalizable) to oranges (Nigel losing grip coming out of the pits in Milwaukee...not penalizable) is indicative of this shift. It worked...they drove him out after rank amateur Dennis Vittolo almost chopped his head off driving on top of his car at 100 mph while heading into the pits at Indy that year.
