That's why it's called "mind virus". Sorry to hear that. I just finally got to watching Matt Walsh's "What is a Woman" and immediately came here to find fellow sane people. It's about money in some veins, but the heart of the problem is in ignorance/fear of not conformity. Mainly it is lack of exposure to counter arguments to the virus-narrative. People are too busy trying to stay afloat in basic everyday life to learn of the complex nature and truth. They would rather deny their own intuition about biological fact then face offending people. It's a virus that has infected nearly all body systems. The best way to undo it is to show people reality. Remind them. Ridicule silly notions that are obviously untrue. Not in a mean condescending way but matter of fact way. Laugh at silly trans ideas like we would laugh at any silly idea. Treat the ideas just as they are: childish/naive/ignorant. My niece just finally came to her senses and I'm convinced it was because her and the parents moved to a more conservative area of the US state we live in, so she was suddenly exposed to kids at school who laughed at her silly ideas. Social interaction is how kids learn what is what. That's how bad ideas are tested to see if they hold up to reality. In her case, she stopped identifying as a boy just a few weeks into the new school year. It also helped that her grandparents on both sides would not affirm her gender delusion. I also never affirmed it. I never referred to her as a boy because that would be lying. She weighed all this social feedback and luckily came to her senses. One cannot change sex or the stereotype fiction: 'gender'. And there is not a right way to be a boy or a girl. I would say it's up to parents to say a big strong "NO EFFING WAY" to this madness. I have no kids so I'm not saying it's easy, but it's necessary. If all the people who think this is madness stood up and said so this would be gone by the morning.

This guy is FOS! Manhattan Institute study found 5,000-6.000 kids had “top surgery” between the 7 years inclusive 2017-2023. There are 26 million American teens between 12-17 years old. That proves that less than .00023% had this procedure, and states are taking action to ban it all together.

Compare that to the hundreds of thousands of orthopedic surgeries are performed?? No comparison. Who’s the real snake oil salesman spinning a yarn for fame and profit?

@jtjones4081 Any amount of kids who've had this procedure done to them is too many, as underage children do not yet have the cognitive faculties to consent to such things. Same applies with age of consent for sexual activity. So why is it such a bad thing to ban this procedure for minors under 21? If you're not old enough to drink yet, then you're definitely not old enough to decide whether or not to permanently sterilize yourself ​

​@@jtjones40811. That data used insurance company records, meaning the real number is higher. Surgeries not done through insurance were not counted. 2. Many crimes are rare... As if it matters. Should rare crimes not be illegal? That's thousands of real lives irrevocably impacted. Thousands of kids who had their healthy bodies cut into and healthy tissue removed, forever affecting structure and function. You're talking about a very invasive surgery with potential for complications. You can't do unnecessary surgery on a patient who doesnt or cannot consent. This is _never_ ethically acceptable. Not once.
