Tributes from the likes of Jim Bolger, John Oxx, Mick Kinane, as well as Derrick Smith and Michael Tabor as Aidan O'Brien is awarded the Cartier/Daily Telegraph Order of Merit for 2016
I'm constantly reading comments made by people who I assume are just anti-Coolmore fans that say Aidan O'Brien has only had the kind of success he's had because he's had so many great horses sent to him to train over the years. My response to that is even the most impeccably bred horses have to be trained properly to become champions. They don't just show up at Ballydoyle ready to tackle the top Grade/Group level races in the world because of their bloodlines. Like him or not, Aidan O'Brien is a genius with thoroughbred's, period, and his humbleness & humility that goes along with his ability is why he garners all the respect shown him by peers like Jim Bolger, John Oxx, & John Gosden in this video.
Love wins the 1000 guineas and the oaks,, serpentine wins the Derby...the success rate is incredible,, plenty more to come,, Aiden and team,, and the lads,, incredible combination...keep it up...
It's amazing really, "he leaves nothing to chance", Oxx said. Success in this sport obviously isn't about gambling as it's falsely portrayed. But, if nobody gambled horse racing wouldn't exist. Stinging parody that.
