Cartman's mother's voice actress is so good. She perfectly captures that wholesome tone where you really feel she's as kind, yet also extremely lonely and desperate, as she's written.
I'm pretty sure it's April Stewart. She took over a little while after Mary Kay Bergman died (Original voice), and does pretty much all female voices on South Park like Bergman did.
@MINI Nope that's just how they draft the voices before April comes in to do the female parts. You can easily just look at her interviews, and the fact that she's credited on every show, on Imdb, and wikipedia. She also does the voices for the games. I understand the misunderstanding seeing as they raise the tones in post for the kids voices and keep it that way. If I wasn't aware of April's role I also would've assumed Trey voiced Liane.
Tim Dinh Tbh I felt that episode. I had no father, but a mother just like that. Spoiled me into a brat w/ no discipline. Had a realization & signed myself up for the Army at 17 w/ her consent. After my contract was up I moved back home to make sure my younger sisters weren’t raised this way. Not a single regret.
@@jam-rockrider9479 Yeah sure blame it on your parents for not taking responsibilities. Parents arent perfect or anything, but lack of trying is pretty much the fault of oneself. Parents merely exist to try to make people have a good childhood before they face the real world, as flawed as one is, but rewarding bad behavior i can see problems with.
Kejiri you sound stupid. A parents job is to prepare you for the real world by instilling in you a sense of responsibility, respect, morality and integrity. Not to make you have a “good childhood”.
That's the only way to break Cartman. Nanny Stella and Super Nanny treated him like a child and that was their undoing. Ceasar at no point spoke to Eric and blocked his words out. With this strategy nothing Cartman said got to him.
@@__JH_ Nannies treated Cartman like a regular bratty child and that doomed them. Stone and Parker didn't insult the nannies. They prooved their methods would not work. At that point Eric was a monster sociopath. Kindness is a sign of weakness, punishment is letting him now he did something that upsets you. So treating him like a kid is an insult to his intelligence. Ceasar Millan treated Cartman like an animal, because Eric is just that inhuman.
I feel bad for Cartman’s mom, she doesn’t really have any friends so as soon as she gets a good interaction with someone, she will do what she’s told until that person leaves. This is why Cartman was king of the house
Because that’s how it is with dogs too. If the owners don’t train the dogs well or set proper boundaries, it’s not the dogs fault that they learn improper behavior. Of course, the implication is that children (or at least Cartman) are not any more intelligent than an animal that spends 80% of its spare time sniffing its own butt. Lol.
@@CJ-442 I mean, my father once painted the wall with his own crap when he was a toddler. Honestly we like to say we are so much smarter, but we ain't, it just develops like a curve.
@@CJ-442Children can be pretty darn stupid, lol. Source: I once was a children, and went to school with a lot of them. But a lot of Pavlovian psychological conditioning tactics are similar for humans and animals, to some degree. Humans may have intellect that animals lack, but the general base instincts are still the same.
I've read one of Cesar Millan's books and I also teach kindergartners, so I've read a lot of classroom management books. The similarities are striking :D, haha. It really all comes down to the parent/teacher showing authority and not giving into the demands of a child, in much the same way a dog owner needs to be the "pack leader". People mistakenly think it's about dominance and being super strict, but really it's about being consistent and nurturing. Kids (and dogs) feel safer and less anxious when they know the rules and know that the rules are going to be consistently and fairly upheld.
I'm a kindergarten teacher too.. totally agree! Children and dogs need structure and engagement. Usually the dominance from a child comes in when when there is too much attention given which leads to manipulation. Misbehaviours usually happens when there is neglect bcoz children want to get their parents attention and love. They always say, when raising puppies, we need to control their environment. I think thats how for kids too.. we need to have rules to set the limitations of the environment. I agree that rules also make a secured and safe place where children and dogs can explore, have fun and be engaged. I also believe that when young, children dont purposely misbehave. Sometimes it started with a small "accidental misbehaviour", but nobody followed through so they learned to continue the behaviour. That's why it is so true to be consistent and be assertive.
My father always did say that dogs are a great teacher for adults about to become parents. From the ages of 1 to 6, dogs and children share the same level of dependance and intellect.
That's because the Nannies were too confrotational with Cartman and he craves attention and can easily counter that. Cesar, meanwhile, ignores Cartman and only pays him attention when he is putting him in his place lol
No, Cartman. Auschwitz prisoners were fed very minuscule portions of soup, bread, and sometimes margarine. They often resorted to theft in order to compensate for their immense malnutrition, and if they got caught in the act, they could be denied their daily portions, tortured, or executed.
@@adamcampling821 I know, I was just giving the intimate details of what the prisoners were fed, according to a Holocaust survivor by the name of Ellie Weisel, the author of Night.
Couldn't this also apply to your friends and coworkers? I mean i know people generally maintain authority or that much influence on the friends as people. But when it comes to their actions (especially around you) you have the right to ask them not to do something if it's wrong or makes you uncomfortable.
It's weird that we never see Cartman enact revenge against Cesar for what he did. Considering he's been the only person to successfully control Cartman, you'd think that he would be too much of a risk in Cartmans mind.
I think the fact that Cesar doesn’t even acknowledge “it” plays a big role. Also, the fact that all of his interactions are through his mother. Genious level stuff.
"See?? I'm not looking at the child, I'm not acknowledging the child. I'm just letting the child know that I'm not interested in him.". Hahahaha! I've been watching The Dog Whisperer on Disney+ and hearing him say that stuff here is just absolutely hilarious because he really does say that when he's rehabilitating dogs! 😂🤣😂🤣
Anyone notice on the bottom of his “plan to kill mom” it ends with “FRAME TOKEN” lmao! Watched this episode a few times and it’s the first time i noticed that! Poor Token!
I watched Cesar's reaction to this video first.. got me intrigued that I have to watch. I love it. Yes, it is one of those rare episodes that they didn't mock the character.
Damn! What did Cartman do to her?? It was also hilarious when the girls at school didn't invite Cartman to their Paris Hilton party. His was pissed! 😄😄😄
The only person to train Cartman successfully is the one guy who did it through ignoring him while training, the nannies gave Cartman attention while trying to deal with him and it ended with one being horribly offended and the other ending up insane, but then Cartman is trained through being ignored, and BOOM, a good outcome Also, Cartman is just so evil that when he finally becomes good, his body literally goes to war with itself
Nobody wants to tolerate his behavior. There are other tough people who could also be his nanny. Coach Buzzcut and Todd from B&B😄. Cartman also got dissed by the girls at school who didn't invite him to their Paris Hilton party😄😄😄!
Considering how much he lost weight and brushed his teeth on impulse when he clearly didn't want to, I'd say that it would have worked had she not spoil him. But to put things in perspective, Cartman's Mom has lead a very complicated lonely life. One that she tried to fill in her youth with Sex, Drugs and Alcohol. She had no true friends and craved any kind of affection that was given to her. As a result when she had Cartman, she did what she could to be friends with him when she should have been a parent to him. Spoiling him and only laying down the law when he goes too far. But after the whole ordeal with Dog Whisperer, while she ruined what would have been an easy way to fix her son, she became more confident, refusing to take any of Cartman's shit.
Its actually a satire of the oedipus complex. Basically, the mother is lonely and uses the child as their only source of interaction. In order for the child to comply, the mother bribes him and strips away the child's independence. Super clever!
@@Shanethefilmmaker I agree, definately the mum. Plus if you go back to the scene where Eric is just about to murder his mum and his inner consciousness goes into a clash within himself to the point where he becomes sick, Eric really was on the verge of changing to being a good person. But of course, this is South Park we're talking about. The mum was never gonna change.
I have always seen child psychology as dog psychology, i my self dont have kids, but the kids tend to decide and try to be dominant over the parents. So yes, i could use some of cesar milans advices with kids. But how is it possible that i want a have a dog and not a kid!!!! 🤔😂
LANGE DUNEAUTREPLANETE you don’t have kids because nobody wants to have children with you. Your uterus is slowly deteriorating becoming more worthless by the day.
@@boostmymint oh really funny! I guess you are 13 or 14! I do not deal with kids that age! Its out of my dogs psychology knowlege. Iam sure cesar milan can help your parents adress you!
Haven't seen this show in years and it still make me laugh. When Cartman gets smacked by the whisperer I nearly peed my pants. Good old fashion comedy.
Honestly the ending isn't as "maniacal" as they make it seem. Cartman just realizes that his mother is lonely and that no matter who tries to help Cartman, the problem is with his mothers loneliness and spoiling him to get his attention. She just needs a husband man😔
@@glenthemann How would you like to try to be a foster father to a kid you dont and want to know nothing about? Those few who accept the chalenge are brave, but do not aceept that as the norm.
Caesar Milan is a boss in this episode, he kept roasting and ignoring the frustrated Cartman and actually fixed him. My favorite is he kept referring to him as “it”.
Jo Frost actually tried to sue Matt and Trey for how they portrayed her here. Apparently her ego is ridiculous and is a diva of Mariah Carey proportions
