Hey everyone! Take note the audio for the bumpers at 1:34, 2:09 and 2:24 is NOT official and was created by me. I have never seen them before as they were recently uploaded by the Animation Supervisor. If anyone finds the original audio from VHS tapes, please alert me so I can put it back together! Follow and support facebook.com/CartoonNetworkCity/ for more lost CN bumpers!
They said it could never be done, BOY WERE THEY WRONG! It took a lot of courage, and effort to make all these. You know how long that would have taken?
Man this is so much better them today CN, it's really interesting and nice to see all these characters live their normal life and still live their normal-ish lifestyle
God I love these bumpers so much! We finally get to see these girls in HD for once. Yumi's character design is most definitely my favorite out of all the cartoon/anime/whatever else character designs I have ever seen.
Man these videos always bring back memories from the good old days I miss this so much that I wish someone on RU-vid would just continue to do it to revive CN City and if only they could continue to do CN City but honestly I feel like this era is better left the way it is great job on the video man I hope you keep bringing out more.
2:32 The book has the names of familiar characters from other shows! I can see, Dexter, Billy, Mojo Jojo, Scooby, Eduardo, Mac, Grim, Wilt, Ray Ray, Ed, Edd, Eddy, Numbah 2, Mandy, Juniper, Coco and Herriman. There's 2 other names I can't identify however...
There was this one bumper where they caught the Ed’s messing with their stuff, Bloo taking money from their case and them saying hi to Courage and If I was there I would be at their concerts
Yup I know those bumpers, but they belong in a different category which is why I didn’t include them. Cause those were generic bumpers you see during ad breaks and not when their show is on. I will upload that collection in the future! (Well I need the HD versions from the Animation Supervisor first so lol)
Dang. Really wish I watched more of this back then. It was actually a fun and good show, and yet I never gave it much of a chance. You can feel that CN charm just by looking at it. Even if it's extremely unlikely, I'd be all over for a continuation of Hi Hi Puffy Amiyumi.
Hey again! So just a headsup I am working with the animation supervisor to put together the most complete archive of these bumpers while also upscaling them to 4K using NN by using the OG files for the best possible result, also masking out the timestamps using recordings (when possible) and adding full audio to them for the page. So keep an eye on there in the coming weeks/months ;)
Whoa you are?? That’s so cool I’m looking forward to it! I was actually trying to do the same thing, I’m heavily relying on him whenever he posted on his FB page to restore all the bumpers. I was too shy to ask him directly, that’s why I always ask for specific missing bumpers only. I’m doing show by show if it isn’t obvious haha. I have no idea how to restore quality to 4K but do you want to work together? There’s a lot of audio from the bumpers that’s missing and I had to search VHS tapes to restore the bumpers. Some I even made up using sound effects files. I could help in the audio department and I would love to have bumpers in HD, since uploading to FB devalues the quality
@@Oztrose Yes my friend, that's exactly what I have been doing for the audio as well haha, and yep FB absolutely kills quality. I would love to hit you up for finding audios (or create them when not available) and timestampless versions from recordings for some. I'm mainly using the packages uploaded by Simon Linge for both audios and to mask the stamps where needed, but I know some are missing from there. I already put together the entire skeleton of the archive. I'm currently counting a total of 701 bumpers/interstitials (included are also the InkApache ones)
@@masterblaster2053 Wow 701 is a lot! That still has counted the missing bumpers. Yes I’ve been doing similar, I actually have a Premiere Pro file set up with comps of all the different show bumpers. I’m just waiting whenever Geoff Valent uploads missing bumpers, I need all from each show to upload them on YT. Simon Linge has also uploaded somewhere? I could hardly find much from him. You can contact me at symonchong@yahoo.com.sg if you wanna work with me!
@@masterblaster2053 Wow, 701? That’s amazing. I’m looking forward to seeing all of them in that archive. Hopefully all, or most of the lost bumpers get found in the near future 🙏
2:15 The list of locations of Ami and Yumi's tour are from other shows! Metropolis (?) Aron City (Johnny Bravo) Gotham City (Batman) The Middle of Nowhere (Courage the Cowardly Dog) Sydney (?) Krypton (Superman) Atlanta (Class of 3000) Coolsville (Scooby Doo) Bedrock (The Flintstones) Planet X (?) Albuquerque (Bugs Bunny) The Big City (Sheep in the Big City) Townsville (The Powerpuff Girls) Orbit City (The Jetsons) Cul-De-Sac (Ed, Edd n Eddy) Couldn't identify them all but I'm amazed at the amount of detail these bumpers have! So much effort to look for after all these years
Hmm, maybe Metropolis was Tales of Metropolis? (I never heard of it). And was Class of 3000 around (or at the very least being produced) at the time this bumper was made? If so, that’s a nice way of hinting at the future. I was going to say Planet X was Batman: Brave and the Bold but that was in 2008 lol
@@cfan6716 Could be! Yea I was wondering about the Class of 3000 one. The show was being produced in 2005 (when this bumper was created) before airing in 2006. Although it seems like a stretch lol. I dunno any other cartoons that take place in Atlanta though, that’s why I decided to put Class of 3000 😂
Planet X from what I can gather is a location in the Duck Dodgers cartoon. And I think Sydney is referring to the Australian city where Animal Logic, the animation studio behind the CN City bumpers, is located.
I remember there was one where Eddy was standing on the sidewalk trying to sell tickets to an AmiYumi show to any that walked by him. "Tickets to Puffy AmiYumi, 25cents!" "Tickets for Ami and Yumi just 25cents!" Then the camera pans over to show him talking to Ami and Yumi themselves offering them tickets. They just give him some disappointed stares for a bit until he says "What?"
Haha I wish!! These videos are from the animation supervisor who worked on the bumpers! He uploaded these clean versions on a Cartoon Network City Facebook page. facebook.com/CartoonNetworkCity/ Please like and support his page regularly, because he has a lot of lost bumpers that haven’t been uploaded! We need to encourage him basically 👍🏻
happy 29th anniversary cartoonnetwork!!! would love to see this(& cn city in general as it was the best era to me.) come back as i loved hihi puffy ami yumi.:3
@@Oztrose I still find the channel watchable in 2008. After that, it was no longer worth my time. So yeah! 2008 was the last time i ever watched CN. I never really grow up with adventure Time and it was a total stranger to me than regular show.
Last time i checked on Wikipedia about the whereabouts of the duo i discovered that the pink one married her old childhood friend (classic anime love story) and the purple one divorced her husband who was the director of an industry of vacuum cleaners and she had a child with him. I am talking about the real life duo, who were BETTER self-inserts than Velma
1:31 The day Mojo Jojo becomes an parking maid or officer is the moment the world becomes obscenely black and turned upside down. And the fact he had ticketed Puffy means everything.
I can imagine me and my 2 cousins, Brooke and Hannah being like this show. Me as Kaz the Manager, Brooke as Ami the Drummer, and Hannah as Yumi the Guitarist
