I actually remember this period. This was before Adult swim existed and they would show older cartoons, re-runs or toonami late at night. Oh the memories....
Yeah Sunday night had stuff like O Canada and Late Night Black and White. I wonder how many people know today remember Space Ghost Coast to Coast existed before Adult Swim was a thing? I also remember this HB show from the 70s called Wait Till Your Father Gets Home?
I remember watching Popeye and once 11pm struck I saw adults getting into the pool and I got so sad 😞 cuz I remember it having 24/7 cartoons, Cartoon Network would be my #1 choice for my watching, Nickelodeon and Disney were 2nd and 3rd if there wasn't anything to watch
Damn I'm literally crying it only feels like yesterday sitting in front of the tv watching this, I'm born in 1995 so I know all of these commercials. Especially that adt commercial omg
I wish Cartoon Network would do a flashback Friday. All day all the cartoons we grew up with in the 90s. I’m 30 now and when I see these videos it makes think how good we had it. Today’s cartoons are terrible.
I think it would be so cool if they would show the first time cartoon network came on on the same date like maybe even the first 5 minutes of it it would be mind blowing
my brother & i r twins & we turn 30 in november. i miss the old cn shows like ppg, ed, edd n eddy, dexters laboratory, johnny bravo, justice league & the original teen titans :( ppgs still my favorite cn show & always will be. i got the whole series box set 4 our birthday three years ago. i shouldve bought it when it came out back in 2009. i cant wait 4 craigs reboot. i feel bad 4 kids now who have 2 watch crap like teen titans go, unkitty, we bare bears, the amazing world of gumball & craig of the creek
everything was so wacky and condensed it all looks like late night block commercials. that 90s adult plaid shirt and denim pants vibe. different world back then.
"Coming up next, it's Cow and Chicken, followed by Dexter's Laboratory on Cartoon Network." "Coming up next, it's Ed Edd n Eddy, followed by Tom and Jerry on Cartoon Network." "Coming up next, it's Tom and Jerry, followed by The Bugs and Daffy Show on Cartoon Network."
I almost forgot to add the proverb, "Scooby-Doo will be right back on Cartoon Network, and it looks like if you're going to the kitchen, could you bring something out for Shaggy and Scooby? Those two haven't eaten in a good five minutes."
@@tonyparra8459 Boomerang was originally envisioned by Cohen as basically a booster pack to the network as a whole. As their roster of new shows expanded some old ones would be fighting for more of the same time. Boomerang could run longer blocks of some shows that may have been not on the main channel during that month. At the time it was a good idea, what they didn't see coming was the rise of TV on DVD taking a chunk of that audience away. When the networks presidency changed, Boomerang was mostly set to autopilot for most it's run. Which eventually lead to some problems where not everything that used to air on CN ever found it's way to Boomerang. Boomerang has also never been promoted that well ever except on CN where they just told people to call your cable provider. An autopilot channel never really took off with cable companies because as each year went on more of those dvds came to compete. As far as whether one thinks what was done to the older cartoons was fair is more a matter of your personal taste of which teams you back. But one thing that everyone should remember is that when Cohen was president from 1996-2001 the idea was still that WB Animation and Hanna Barbera could be peacefully merged into one entity. At the end of Cohen and Samples' run that goal ended and he instead had personal control over Cartoon Network Studios with WB Animation its own thing having gained the HB IPs. A lot of their philosophies on how CN and Boom were run make a lot of sense from their own perspectives. Even if as fans you may think one or the other was an idiot.
Wow. I'm 29 years old now and i remember a lot of these commercials. This brings back great memories of watching Cartoon Network before and after school. Remember Cartoon Cartoon Fridays?! Man children today just don't know how good we had it

Now it is I remember watching these commercials when I was washing clothes with my mom at a laundromat there is an Asian lady always change the cartoon Network because I always asked her to lol 😂 it was never that busy though
I can remember the adt commercial like it was just yesterday. Same with pork jam. I was only 6 when those were aired, and they’ll probably be burned into my memory for the rest of my life.

Cartoon Network sucks now as does Nick. Disney is the only thing that actually has some decent cartoons these days. I still want to go back so bad. I would get off at 11:30 on half days. I had the best school holiday party’s. There were always great movies great cartoons. Friday’s were a huge deal They always had a move on some channel. Saturday cartoons made me want to get up early. We didn’t have to have to have the internet or RU-vid to entertain us we wanted to be kids watch tv, go out and play.
