for anime recommendation, i'd suggest neon genesis evangelion or serial experiment lain (for the cerebral and abstract viewer), hunter x hunter or fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood (for the standard anime hero "shojo" journey), mononoke (if you're into a bit of horror that basks in japanese culture). I have loads more of recommendations but for the sake of not boring you, these will suffice for the time being.
Hey what do you think of digimon frontier(the one that they turn into digimon) it’s on Hulu Or what do you think of the digimon were they were cops and it’s a bit darker sorta
I still watch all of them once in a while. It was such an important part of my childhood. Shows like Billy and Mandy, Ed Edd 'n Eddy, Codename: Kids Next Door, Chowder, Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, Foster's home for Imaginary Friends and so many more
Bruh that the shit, that tree house part was a pain. I got pretty far in this game, but I accidentally went to Billy and Mandy's part of the game, and got stuck, the enemies one shotted me there because I wasn't the level required to be there.
That just further proves the early 2000s was one of the best decades ever and I missed out on so much. Also, wasn’t there a gorillaz web game where you would drive around in the car from one of their songs?
I was obsessed with "Big Fat Awesome House Party" the foster's home for imaginary friends online game. I loved walking around the 2D universe. The desktop or laptop that I was playing on heated up so much that I would just set it on the ground and play in front of it. When I was done playing I would move the laptop to a different spot and sit on the warm patch of carpet that it left behind.
TonyIshCoot they are doing it free.... pretty much so um yeah and they still are supporting the game..... I think you read the battle front 2 yes that (battlefront) wiki but yeah anyway have fun hating on ea
TonyIshCoot listen.... if your gonna say they are lying then make the fucking game by yourself.... yeah you couldn't finish it I played the sneak peak it ran extremely well.... they are not in it for the money nor fame they are trying to being the fusion community back just as the same as free realms sunrise/rewritten I cant wait to play retro and enjoy the game I mean from the sneak peak being smooth and easy just like old fusion fall it makes it that much more fun to know that the past is nearly done and I'm gonna be supporting the game
It hasn't really occurred to me until recently, but... the Cartoon Network Universe being connected isn't really THAT farfetched, if you look back into the history of the shows. For instance, there was the Billy and Mandy / KND Crossover. In its opening, there was a scene where Billy called Ed Edd 'n Eddy, who suggested that he call the KND, instead, connecting THOSE three shows' worlds together... but then it gets even MORE crazy whenever he answers the door. The reason why, of course, is because he didn't just meet the KND, but he also commented, "HEY! You aren't the Powerpuff Girls!" Thus, we have KND, Billy and Mandy, Ed Edd 'n Eddy, AND the Powerpuff Girls into the same universe. Then we throw in Dexter's Lab being connected to the Powerpuff Girls, due to the presence of the Justice Friends in BOTH shows. Also Billy and Mandy gave Scooby Doo a brief cameo, connecting THAT into it, which again doesn't sound that farfetched, considering Scooby Doo covered the appearances of Batman and Robin. This, of course, also stretches onward to the presence of the Teen Titans' existence. Scooby Doo also had the Boo Brothers appear, which links Casper into the CN Universe. Billy and Mandy also had Fred Flintstone in an episode, which also connects the Jetsons, due to THEM once crossing over. There's so many more links to the other shows that I haven't mentioned, but if we look VERY deeply into the shows' histories, we can actually find a way to make sense of the presence of everyone there!
@Mischief and Home nah man Plenty of rich nerds are willing to throw good money after bad otherwise i wouldnt have been running any of the websites i run without ads lmao
@Mischief and Home trust me if im willing to spend 5 grand a month out of pocket running my shitty websites without a userbase or interest Somebody'd be willing to do it
This is cool! I missed out on this game but i played a lot of 625 Sandwich Stacker. I'm not kidding. Also I just noticed it's Kingdom Hearts with Cartoon Network
Ryan Carless Sans a third party franchise like Final Fantasy This is closer to battleworld from Marvel comics where we get Oldman Logan from. Just a collage of universes mixed together and then stuff happens. (Or basically the DC “worlds” franchise is sounding like its going to be)
It's not exactly that.. you don't create you're own character in Kingdom Hearts, and you don't travel to different worlds in FusionFall, all the shows represented take place in the same universe.
Oh my god, I forgot about Monkey Quest! That, Fusion Fall, Wizard 101, Animal Jam, Pixie Hollow Online, Poptropica, Jumpstart online, and Roblox were my childhood.
I feel like Monkey Quest was newer than the others (or maybe I’m just out of it). I remember playing it when Nicktoons became a thing (which I thought wasn’t as old as the others).
I got stuck in a higher-leveled area because I kept on exploring literally the middle of Nowhere. (if someone doesn't get why i said literally is because Nowhere is a location)
It's ironic how back in the day CN always treated all the cartoons like they were one universe even though they were all in completely different styles, but now they're all treated as separate universes when they're all drawn in the same style.
Apparently in "the gorillaz canon" one of the band members got locked up / killed so they replaced him with one of those powerpuff villains Yeah it's weird
Nick Kretschmer Ace appeared in one of Gorillaz' most recent video for one of their songs (more specifically, Humility). He's replacing Murdoc, who got thrown in jail for some reason (but since he's always doing some weird illegal shit almost all the time, is not that surprising).
Hahah I remember it when I was a kid. You could play for free but there was a point in the original where you had to become a subscriber to get to. Kinda like the Runescape system or WoW's newer system in a way. I do remember though that apparently you could cheese the system by teleporting to a friend who does have premium to get into the premium world, but I could never test the rumor because I had no friends when I was a kid online and was like too shy to ask people.
There were like flying monkeys or something I think? They looked like mojo jojo from powerpuff girls, and would carry you long distances. It was a very creative means of transportation, however looking back at it, it didn't make much sense.
420noscope FusionFall had two major forms of fast travel, being the KND S.C.A.M.P.E.R. and the monkey skyway agents, the latter being what you're thinking of. The KND S.C.A.M.P.E.R.s were mainly for travelling between different regions in the game (Suburbs, Downtown, the Wilds, and the Darklands), so there were only a handful of them. However, each S.C.A.M.P.E.R. was capable to flying to any S.C.A.M.P.E.R. location if memory serves. As you mentioned, the skyway monkeys physically carried the player places, and acted as short distance transportation. Each group of skyway monkeys could only go to a designated set of spots, but at said spots there were always more skyway monkeys. In FusionFall I think they serve Mojo Jojo, and were probably based off the monkey servants Mojo Jojo created in the Powerpuff Girls origin movie. I'll leave these here in case anyone wants expanded information on how they worked. fusionfall.wikia.com/wiki/KND_S.C.A.M.P.E.R. fusionfall.wikia.com/wiki/Monkey_Skyway_Agents
Fun fact: the Powerpuff Girls redesign wasn't made for this game, it comes from an anime reboot of the franchise made by Cartoon Network Japan and Aniplex, "Powerpuff Girls Z", which ran from 2006 to 2007 for a total of 52 episodes and mixed in more heavy Maho Shojo elements into the formula of the Powerpuff Girls, their models in Fusionfall have only slight adjustments.
In the last episode of Powerpuff girls Z it is said that it is in a different dimension than the one we got over here in the US . So not really a reboot.
Actually, FusionFall's art was created by Snafu Comics, who made a doujin based on multiple cartoon universes but centered on Dexter and the Powerpuff Girls called "Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi". It featured characters from shows across Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and even some OCs. I highly recommend it, cause it's a really fun and trippy ride if you're into massive crossover fanfiction, although the art style is really racy (short skirts on the Powerpuff Girls, constant upskirt shots, etc.), so it's interesting seeing how the designs were changed from the comic for FusionFall.
Fusion Fall was one of the best MMO'S I'd ever played. Fusion Fall had came out JUST before the CN Real era. CN City was a hub city for the CN stars located in The Nexus. Thats where this took place. I was a Beta Tester and exploring eras that were in Alpha And throw away zones that weren't completed or erased. I ended up stuck in a level 60 area as a level 20 player. I was out there trying to survive.
You know this game still has the potential even to this day if they rebrand it. Hear me out a battle royal of cartoon network characters. They could balance each character or have player create a character and add "gear/artifacts" from various shows think like Jacks Samurai or Bens Alien watch, each gear would be different in stats and when equipped on the correct character a bonus buff is applied and these "artifact/gear" can be found anywhere in the open map but never saved to your inventory. That would make it close to that one game I used to play Gotham Imposters.
Holy fuck, a somewhat well know RU-vidr bringing attention to Fusion Fall?! I played this game SO MUCH when i was younger and i was really sad when i found out it ended. Thank you for making this video! This sure is going to bring out some memories.
I love how you only showed the absolute beginning of the game..... I honestly hope that you went back in time, the second map is a lot larger, there are multiple knd areas, and the sector v tree house looks a lot cooler. In addition to this, there is a rudimentary fast travel system (jojo monkeys and knd transport), but it only goes to certain areas in which you have to speak to the fast travel provider before you can access the point. You can also use the respawn point to skip portions allowing a low level player to access a high level area to complete a quest. An example of where this is useful is during a blood gnat quest when Johnny Bravo wanted you to deliver some letters (spoiler, the mayor from power puff girls gets the last one through your character giving zero #####). While completing the quest you need to get to Nowhere from Courage the Cowardly Dog which is a level 23 area despite the little detail that the quest becomes available when you reach level 4 (I did it at level 6 when I randomly stumbled upon it and thought, "hey, this looks easy..."). The high level of the area makes it very difficult to traverse and often nearly impossible to reach unless you picked a stealth attribute for one of your nanos. Due to this, pretty much the only way for a newbie player to access the area and complete the quest is to attempt to travel towards where they think a spawn point is (which can be referenced using the "my view" option on your map) and then try to find the safest path on which they will inevitably die, but hopefully make enough progress towards the next spawn point that they make some progress.
I remember the first time I was “allowed” to play this game. I had just turned 10 (it was a 10+ game... yeah, I waited) and I was at my cousin’s house. I really think I purged this game from my memory so thank you for this terrifying reminder🙃😂
I played FusionFall once and accidentally wandered into a high-level area after accepting a quest that was too high-level for my character. I couldn’t figure out what to do and never went back
This video sure did bring me back. I had internet for the first time right when this came out and i convinced my parents to let me get the subscription. I played this soooo much. Wish I could replay it today
Yeah, your perspective makes sense but my introduction to it was completely different. I first played it in 2010 & was introduced to it by my friends I gamed with. We mostly played Toontown together, we'd always be in a Skype call & when Toontown was down for maintenance, we'd play something else like Club Penguin but not everyone liked CP. One time when TT was down for maintenance, someone suggested playing FusionFall & I hadn't even heard of it by that point. They told me what it was & instantly, I knew I had to play. They talked to me as I did the tutorial with Buttercup & helped me out with defeating her & getting that nano faster so I could meet up with them. We were all in the distant future because at the time, you had to pay to get to the past so we helped each other out with what we had to do & all got to the point to where we couldn't go any further. Thankfully, it wasn't too long until we could play totally for free & made our way to the past & we played this game almost as much as we played Toontown. I uh, got addicted to riding a hover board around after that event where we got those free, temporary hover boards. Man, I wish I got to keep it. I always was talking with my friends while playing, we did meet other people but mainly communicated with our group. It was super fun playing with friends & really, I think I'd be bored by the game if I wasn't playing with my friends back then.
Cartoon Network FusionFall... I haven't heard that name in fifty years... Also one of those swords in the game looks strikingly similar to the Monado. But this game came out in 2008, and Xenoblade came out in 2010. It'd be funny if inspiration for anything from Xenoblade was taken from FusionFall.
I was just playing Retro a few days ago and I saw someone with that weapon and I was like, "wtf was that the Monado?" Glad I'm not the only one that thought that.
I remember learning about FusionFall when I visited a friend's house. After that, I started playing it. I don't really remember too much, but I remember it was a lot of fun. The "tutorial" might be the most well-known thing I remember since, I think I did it several times. I vaguely remember traveling a super long distance on a highway.. Nostalgia blast.
Not to be that guy but you really didnt play this game did you? There is fast travel, plus if you played this now it was probably on a private server. The update you called “unfortunate” was actually the best update in the game at the time that many players liked lmfaoooo
Fast Travel can be quite limited. The Bus is unreliable, the monkeys are way too expensive to be worth using, and the KND one rarely goes where you need to be.
@@VicEntity Well, yeah they can be selective to an extent, but it makes sense. SCAMPERS are mostly for area to area, whereas Monkey Skyways are more from near place to place in that area.
Sorry if this sounds too late but CN had DMCAd Fusionfall Retro and Legacy and it looks like all that was left of old Fusionfall is gone for good. I was obsessed with this game for some reason when I was thirteen to the annoyance of my school. Even if gameplay wise, it wasn't that impressive, I still think Fusionfall still has massive undermined potential and fans fond memories when CN was going dwn the live-action path. Miss you Fusionfall. Hope one day you come back so we can face Fuse once more.
Bro I’ve just binged some of your vids and you brought back such a weird sense of nostalgia for the shit juice Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network fed us when we were kids
There's Fusion Fall Retro which is in Beta right now. A team of developers that were fans of this game are remaking this with more updates, Fusion Fall Legacy. It's currently not out right now but hopefully in the near future it will be.
You seriously skipped out on the parts of: *you are in the closed beta. *fast travel exists, you must pre register a place to go there. *there is no payments required for FFR. *friends are in plenty, you just have to say hi. *press C then zoom.in and boom perfect map of all areas. *fusionfall retro has the approval of cartoon network as of now, the only person to remove their show was total drama island from legacy. CmonBruh you hurting the real fans out here, and hurting games survival with your influential reviews
Seems Nintendo is on some crusade to get rid of people emulating their games. Jokes on them, their efforts have led me to go and download entire game libraries for NES, SNES, GB, GBC, and GBA games.
5:35 Actually, it's impossible to avoid any attack unless you just run away until the foe gives up (aka going back to its spawn point because it can't travel too far)
This has to be one of the first online games I ever played. I remember playing this game close to its release date (I think I actually signed up on its release date, but I’m not sure). My username was “Batman” with some numbers at the end. I remember using my crappy computer at the time. My dad was there helping me. I probably even used his email. My username was “Batman” with some numbers. I can only remember a little about the actual gameplay, but I had a lot of fun. I completely forgot about this game until seeing this video in my recommended. It really brings back some memories..
The fact that both Samurai Jack and the Megas robot couldn't solve the problem even working together says something about the relative strength of the aliens.
So...is no one going to mention that the art style for FusionFall was made by a hentai artist with a Powerpuff Girls x "literally every cartoon in the 2000's" fanfiction comic? It's called "Powerpuff Girls D" if anyone is interested.
Well, it's got panty shots and some partial nudity. Really creepy how it's mostly the Powerpuffs though lol the artist really got his act together for FusionFall
It took me several videos but eventually I realized your opening and closing video noises are MSN messenger right? I love how your channel is marketed twoards me and my childhood.
I remember playing this game when it first came out and it had such a wow factor to me when I was younger. I’m glad that people are fighting to keep this game alive. Thanks for reminding me that this exist
Hello man, as a Veteran player of FusionFall, I can easily see that you made your review based on the gameplay of the current FusionFall Retro project, which is not complete, there's 2 maps: The Future, where you play up until level 4 and The Past where you play from level 4 to level 36, however, The Past is not available yet, the game has way too much to offer and sadly at the CURRENT moment I wrote this comment is still being worked on, the play with friends feature is not available yet either, this is all a work in progress by a group that is revivng the game, so they still have few more stuff to add. In the full game you have vehicles, items, nanos, more npcs, friends and groups interactions, monsters and more things. Your review is only based on this early progress of the revived game, which is only a 1% of the whole game. I like your review but there's a lot of stuff to have in context before talking about the complete game. Only judging by the initial small map.
5:10 there's plenty of fast travel in the game. You have to find the spots, but you can use the monkeys and the KND Scamper to get around to area's you've been to.
Possibly. I'm not entirely sure. The law allows a certain number of copies for libraries and archives. The Internet Archive, for instance, keeps ebook copies of most books, and you can go on a waitlist until it's available and lock (check out) one of the books as an ebook (they let you "check out" up to 5 books at a time) and then when you're done you no longer have access to it. Makes it pretty hard for many people to use it. Also under the law, a library itself is free from liability if you make a "copy" and infringe the work while you're using it. Films have to have copyright expired/not renewed (nothing after 1950, and excluding others if renewed) for them to let you upload to the, but I've found "copies" of the entire GameCube collection, for instance, on archive.org. Again, they're allowed to legally keep a few copies on their servers, but distribution is the muddy water. So basically... yeah, there's not much you can do to keep an MMO from getting taken down if the copyright holder wants to, other than freely distributing the server software as well and letting people pirate both, but then that fragments the user base. It'll never be the same. Copyright exists for a reason, though. A creator of an idea has the right to take advantage of that idea and make money on it. You wouldn't like if you created something and then it just got jacked. Copyright is a good thing. Creators deserve recognition for their contributions and creations. It just kind of sucks that copyright law pretty much extends for the creators lifetime + 70 years, i.e. if it was created in your lifetime by someone, you can never legally have a copy without paying them unless they give it to you. Compared to... patents. Patents are only 20 years. lol. I don't know why copyright is so heavily protected and not designs/inventions.
Honestly, copyright as a concept is the product of the pre-electricity, even pre-telegraph world. It's a shame that the only modern recently update to copyright, the DMCA, just bolstered it and made it more draconian, and even then, that was 5 years after mainstream internet, and pre-broadband, pre-wireless. The DMCA was 3 years Pre-Napster, 3-years pre-BitTorrent, 8 years Pre-RU-vid. Copyright Law needs updated.
Actually there is a playable beta of fusionfall retro available right now. The devs have said that they had to remove total drama island from their game due to a cease and desist letter, so it is safe to say that cartoon network knows about the project and doesn't care. The FF retro team has no ads or payments of any kind, and it's not like they are causing competition to any current cartoon network game, so the chances of cartoon network going after them is slim.
