Normally, I'm a pretty chill guy but Carvana really pissed me off and I HAD to make a video of it. I literally got catfished by this company.
I'm sure others who have made a purchase from them have had a wonderful experience. But as for me, my experience with Carvana was a total waste of time and my credit score also took a hit because of them. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I saw another youtuber who got an fk8 LE off of carvana who was also catfished, was similar to your experience. I would never trust the system they use, makes it easy to bait n switch.

It seems maybe they are cutting corners now, from when I purchased my car from Carvana or it's individual dealerships that are mismanaged and/or trying to scam people. My experience with them was the best experience I've ever had buying a car. I didn't trade in a car though.

just to let you know even if its (1 year later) the plastic inside the tacoma is so EASY to scratch. Really cheap plastic other than that the wheel color is bad.

I’ve bought 2 cars over the past 5 yrs. I had very positive experiences with Carvana. I had only 2 warranty issues handled quick and easy.

Oh man! My friend had a similar experience with Vroom. Although the car looked exactly like the pics, it took her NINE months to get the vehicle transferred to her name!!! They kept losing her paperwork. She’s a teacher and I helped her get a form filled out twice by California Highway Patrol. It was ridiculous!!!

9 months?! Whoa, thats a long time. Honestly, I'd rather just go to the dealer and look at the car in person before buying. I dont trust online car buying anymore. lol

@@chris_timefk8 I don’t blame you! I have been buying Hondas from a local dealership for years now. When it’s time for me to trade my car, I complete the credit application online and upload all necessary items. They know that I will not spend all day there so I have them call me when they’re ready. It’s a 45-60 min process for me now. Otherwise, I won’t buy. I walked out only once.

The first vehicle I went to pick up was supposed to be a black jeep grand Cherokee with a sunroof and was in a minor accident but repaired. I said no worries on the accident and bought the vehicle. I show up to pick up the jeep and it’s green with MAJOR unrepaired accident damage, and no sunroof. I refused that car and was PISSED. The second vehicle was the same thing, black with a sunroof, but no accident damage. I bought it and went to pick it up and it was a very dark charcoal. I accepted that one because even though it was a slightly different color than the pictures, I still liked it.

Sorry you had a bad experience. I bought my 2021 fk7 from carvana in Kansas City and had a great experience. Everything it showed in app matched the car. Payments were bit high but I switched it over to my bank and it cut payments in half

I was getting a 10k car from them and was gona pay it in cash but when it came to the very end they said I need to give a 15k payment. I knew it was gonna be 11k with some change because of tittle transfer dmv stuff etc, but they weren’t even giving me a reason like the dude was just being a jerk. I kept asking why ans all they said that’s how our system works that’s how we roll. I saved my 10k, went to Honda next door and gave the 10k for a downpayment to a type r.

Carvana is a weird company since they have never turned a profit. They only make money from the loans they give people to buy cars from them. They don't actually make profit on the cards. They also have a large history of faking inspections and doing crazy stuff such as your experience. They are great to sell a car too. They do consistently offer the highest prices. But buying is a whole different subject...

I am sorry you had a rough experience! I bought a 2017 equinox from them and things went fine. They described the bumper defects, and that’s all I found. Car runs great, but the title/registration did take 2 months to get, so 2 temp tags. Luckily I don’t drive much!

Buying a car online, sight unseen, cannot end well. It doesn’t take 4 hours to do paperwork at a car dealer. Carvana has been the subject of many negative news stories. No big surprise that you had a. Ad experience. Sorry Chris. Go to a dealer next time

They offered to me 500$ for my 2017 Civic Hatchback EX-T with 50.000 miles (Clean title and clean/stock ). I just turned around and spit on one of their vehicles. They are clowns.

Before I got my new '21. Fk7 I went to CarMax and was looking at this nice '18 one. Took it for a test drive and before I got back to the dealer I heard a scraping noise. I pulled over, looked under the car and the splash guard had been duct tape. Almost bought a lemon.

I’m so sorry you went through this. Low key I think Carvanna is a scam. Before I bought my FK7 I had a 2015 Ford Fiesta sedan. Not the greatest car, I know, but definitely not a 4K trade in which is what carvanna wanted. I live very close to my work and that car is not my road trip car obviously lol so it only had 43k miles on it. In great condition and I was the only owner, bought it brand new. They were also selling my same car with even more miles on their site for 10k-13k and were trying to absolutely rip me off. Happy to say though in the end, I traded it in at a dealer at 8k for the fk7 I have now. Im sorry to hear about your bad luck with getting the new Tacoma, but that just means something better for you is around the corner!

So sorry that happened. That was so bad. I bought my Civic Ex-t from Carvana almost a year ago. I had a friend pull up a Carfax report from their dealership to see if it matched Carvanas. It did. On the app it showed a few minor scratches. When I got the car I took it to Honda for diagnostics to check out everything since I didn't really trust Carvana. I had heard alot of shady things about them. Anyway this car had definitely been in an accident. It had a "junkyard" hood that had been painted and bonded. The person that did the job did horrible. Clear coat spots on the headlights, drip marks of clear coat here and there. The driver side lines didn't line up. A part of the back quarter panel was popped out a little. As I'm typing this, I'm wondering why did I take possession of it. 😂 But I love the car. It was hard finding a coupe too, so that's one of the reasons that I ended up looking into Carvana. And the cosmetic defects weren't that bad because I went in not expecting a perfect car. But bad on Carvana for not being honest. Oh also, I already heard about them pulling your credit multiple times so I had froze my info on all the credit bureaus.

This is why a traditional dealer is best! See and drive the vehicle first, then move forward with purchase, and take it home at that time! I can take you in to a dealer and have the deal done in 90 min or less, with no BS or extra crap!
