@@gensischronicles1148 Good to know, hard for me to tell the difference between the two since i don't hold much knowledge about them, thanks for clarifying.
@@ynelcs I'm very late but Old Norse and Modern Icelandic are almost the same, Icelandic is the purest form of the language that the Vikings spoke that we have today.
Most of the scenes here feature Arnheid, Gardar, as well as their child. You only realise that once you see Arnheid's and Gardar's flashbacks in episodes 14 and 17.
@@evadeda251 literally makes no sense why would you think that ? how do you carve warmth into the slaves who's family you massacred and forcefully took ? wtf
@@maximusd26 not warmth or will of power. Just live in the sense, that warmth is the emotion of ourself, while feeling alive. I mean, the baby with the blood of a dead person on it cheeks is kinda direct with it, or not? We have to act to make it warmth in our live. Carve live into your flesh (get wrinkles(tattoos) Carve live into the ground (farming) Carve live into the sea (by sailing it, making it crossable and useable for humans, and not certain death for humans) Carve live into your enemy (until he dies for your live) Carve live into your spoils (difficult to explain, but gold or slaves get owned and perverted by an attacker, making cultural heritage to spoils of wars, making humans to mere slaves for his own benefit, his own life, while prior to you, they were just others without meaning for yourself. The settlement of the West in the USA was seen as a spreading of live into an area of the continent, while they actual made the whole area their spoil and took it from Natives. They carved their live into these spoils to a point, that their narrative overpowered the cultural heritage of the Natives, who were later made to be forgotten.)
it should be highlighted, that Carve means (as highlighted by the hammering of the metal and the tattoo) a word, that means hew or chisel in english as well. It is a bit more like ENGRAVING live into something. The smithing used the statement to make metal alive, as well.
