I just ordered my first hammer and chisels. Im going to be learning how to sculpt on my own and i want to say i appreciate your videos, i believe they will help me.

I am young but interested in stone carving and marble sculpture. Maybe one day I will master it, but now I am just newbie and do not know where to start.. I love your videos especially this one(at the moment).. Carvings and sculptures are my top 3 art form!!! Please never stop making videos, I love them so so much! ❤

I suggest you start with simple exercises to learn how to handle the tools and feel the stone. Don't immediately embark in too ambitious projects. Hands are very hard. In my opinion, letter carving is the best way to start.

Honestly, I'd start carving by hand. One must understand the stone and how it feels with hand tools first.

@@AtharJaber I actually prefer hand carving. I have two neuromuscular diseases. Heavy use of my muscles triggers attacks. When carving wood, I usually use power tools when possible to remove bulk material at the start of the piece. Then, I do all the rest by hand. What is your best method for removing bulk? What would you suggest in my case?
