The Mojave Scissor Snare is a great trap to learn, not necessarily because it is more efficient or any better than any other snare, but because it is very involved and will challenge your skills as a bushcrafter and knowledge and a survivalist. It involves many moving parts and pieces, but when it works, it works really really well and is a lot of fun to setup. Part of the learning process is to get out there and practice setting up these types of traps and snares, but remember: snares and traps come with an inherent danger as they may snap back on you or those around you.
