Welcome to Casa del Angel, in the historical center of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico.
As you enter the 250 year old front doors you will find an entrance hallway and then a lush central courtyard. The cantera fountain is original to the home. The statuary was hand carved by a local craftsman.
A half bath and laundry area are adjacent to the courtyard.
To the right is the dining room furnished with mexican and french antiques, and a gas fireplace.
Up the stairs you will find the living area with a library and media.
To the left, 2 steps up, is a large bedroom with a tiled bath and gas fireplace.
Two picture windows showcase gardens to the south and a view of the town's landmark, the parroquia (parish church) to the north.
The downstairs bedroom, accomodates a king bed, or two individuals. There is a large bath, fireplace, and private patio area shaded by an 80 year old bouganvilla.
The kitchen is equipped with all modern amenities. The tilework is over 100 years old.
The staircase in the central patio leads up to a large terrace with 300 degree views of the town and mountains. The studio is a great place for an afternoon siesta.
Enjoy the views of the parroquia, as it is lit at dusk and the sunset over the mountains to the west.
During festivals, the troubadours will pass directly below you.
