What disgusts me is not the house, but the fact that Gringos have displaced Mexicans in the center of San Miguel. Foreign gentrification. 99% of the Americans who there live hardly integrate themselves in real Mexican culture, have no close Mexican friends, and project their American attitudes onto the natives. There's a joke in Mexico that you need an American passport to get into S. Miguel. Figuratively speaking, it's not far off.
Exactly, they have zero Mexican friends and don't speak Spanish. Just a complete resistance to assimilate into a country's culture yet they bring their goofy practices of overvaluing home prices for their saltine cracker buds
