Casablanca “Four Seasons” Ceiling Fan

This is a 38" Casablanca Four Seasons ceiling fan in the rare Chrome finish, shown with a set of 16" Antique White blades and a late 80's K4 light fitter. This fan utilizes Casablanca's "Slumber-Quiet" variable speed control system. The pull chain switch operates in the following order; FAN / LIGHT / FAN & LIGHT / OFF and a small black knob on the switch housing is used to adjust the speed. Remarkably this original Slumber-Quiet system works flawlessly on this fan which is surprising since the Slumber-Quiet system is notorious for easily failing. The model number on this fan is CB-4555 and the serial number reads EO23862 which dates this fan to have been manufactured May 23rd, 1981; being the 862nd produced that month. While the Four Seasons is a rather common fan model it’s the chrome finish that is rarely ever seen. Chrome was a finish option that Casablanca offered for nearly all their fan models from this era, while this finish wasn’t advertised for the Four Seasons in the catalogs, customers still had the option to custom order this finish, making this particular fan very rare. Overall this fan performs very well, the motor and bearings are nearly silent and this fan FLIES on high speed, really kicking out a breeze.
