question.is a cascara the same as a mambo?or is it just a cymbal pattern that can be played in a mambo as well as other style?

is like the "Mozambique"?

Raphael Pollet yes and no. The mozambique is a different bell pattern so creates a slightly different melody but you could apply the same idea and come up with something cool as well.

not sure what you mean here man. The Soca is an afro-Caribbean groove and the Cascara is a cuban pattern. Other than mashing the 2 together there isn't a cascara soca that I know of. Happy to be proved wrong though!

HI mate, Stephen here is playing the soca snare and bass pattern (ala sorry by Justin Bieber) With a cascara esque bell pattern not authentic to say the least but sounds really cool!
