Came here to say this. Would be great to see Dave but I’ve NEVER seen a long form Joe interview. They need to get him on here, if he’s off tour long enough. Always touring!
Case's testimony was what I needed today. Thank you and Tank for knowing how to get the great stories that invoke passion, pain and pleasure that made you all the artists we've know and that which we didn't know. These podcasts are just a plethora of wisdom, faith and life walks that any age can enjoy. 62 and thank you!!
"Missing You" by Case is a magical song. It's so layered lyrically, too. Vocally, Case paints a picture of moments, for millions of people to relate to around the world.
The lyrics are stupid… “Like a wedding without a groom” is the only lyric that makes sense in that song. Because if the groom didn’t go to the wedding he would actually be missing from the wedding. There are no cold summer afternoons, it does not snow in June. You aren’t missing Snow in June, because it doesn’t happen.
Smoking a cigarette after sh00+!ng yourself is WILD!!! Case was insane. 🤣🤣 And he mentioned Twinkie Clark in his top five??? That made my heart smile! 🥰🥰🥰
The first time I heard 'Missing You' was in July of 2005, at a funeral for a close friend. Initially I asked myself, "why is this song being played here?" Then, as I listened to the words, it brought me to tears of reflection and perspective. The sustaining power in this song specifically, is something that generations will talk about, for years to come.
Lol I had the biggest crush on him in high school I thought he was so fine during the faded pictures video his swag is sexy and yes I noticed at a young age those New York men mmm mm😂😂😂 .
1:02:22 I can’t sing no more😂 I love when he said that on Missing You!!! He really put his heart ❤and soul in that…. Really all his music! Me & my sister are his BIGGEST FAN!!!! Here in Atlanta. Thanks Tank & J. Valentine for showing my boy some love!!!! Everybody let’s make this interview do numbers like Katt Williams…. Case really deserves it👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

As a Case fan, this episode made my heart smile. I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation. I found myself wishing the episode was longer. Glad Case is still here with us. Thank you, R&B Money, for this awesome podcast ❤
Yessir! Y’all got one right here for R&B. After a concert in Atlanta I ran up to Case asking for a quick question, he wraps his arm around me and walked me out back where he really talked to me, ended up singing to him and Donnell Jones! Immaculate voice, exceptional brother. Classic music. Much love forever. Salute #RNBMoneyPodcast
Salaam(Peace) Tank, and J Valentine, for continually bringing the heat! Salute to Case....his discography is Classic! His collaboration with Joe on Faded Pictures is STILL in rotation!!!👍🏿
What an amazing episode! We need episodes with Joe, Carl Thomas, Faith, Jagged Edge, 112, Sisqó, Tim & Bob, Mario Winans, and Uncle Charlie himself.🔥🔥🔥
This was absolutely wild! So many R&B Legends mentioned, an incredible journey from Mt. Vernon to desert sands to Gaptisms to almost losing it all, literally...I was not prepared..."I can't say no more!" Thank you, @R&B Money Podcast.
This podcast keeps getting better and better. J and Tank make the conversation flow so well. Case is a legend in this game, plus he's funny. He's still got it 🗣 Thank you R&B Money!!
Another legend in the building. Mt. Vernon created legends! The laughter between them is infectious. The jabs are there. Cant wait to hear Case's Top 5!!
Word💯…Absolutely Krazy…grew up there…ppl not from there will never understand…Bruh they didn’t even get into the Denzel Washington, Dick Clark, other actors and athletes bag all from Moneyearnin Mount Vernon…not to mention all the behind the scenes power players in music and entertainment Hollywood shot callers all from the town….niqqas don’t get it for a small predominantly black/African American town…DMX was born there raised in Yonkers but was always in Mount Vernon where his grandmother lived that he always talked about…Michael Imperioli and David Chase from the Sopranos also from MV….Tami Roman too…long list
@@musiclover-cn7tb yup, born right there in Mount Vernon Hospital raised a little bit there then his family moved him somewhere else very young but he would always come back and visit the few relatives he had in Mount Vernon before all the Italians moved out and either moved to Jersey or up the line in northern Westchester and stuff….he said this in an interview years ago when the sopranos was still on the air.
It makes my heart so happy when I hear Al B. Sure and Kyle West mentioned. Al B. was/is a giver, a teacher and a great songwriter and producer. I hope to see him on this podcast.
April 17th 1998 7:00pm I was at that tour in LA and the amphitheater in row K7 one of the most electric nights I have ever had and I was all by myself and sang all the Dru Hill songs riffs and case songs. What a time to be a live!
I won tickets from Hot 97.5 in ATL to see Case, Faith Evans, Dru Hill. I remember Pam from Total was the star of the show she was dancing her ass off. Dru Hill were the headliners and we were in shock that Woody had just left the group. Faith Evans came out and slayed us and so did Case. It was a great time to be amazed by everyone’s vocals. No auto tune. Just raw talent.. I’ll never forget this as it was my first experience to Live R&B music.
I almost spit out my drink when Tank through his arms up saying come get to this 😂😂 P.S. I can see Case on a podcast. He’s so chill and engaging. Great episode.
Thank you Tank and J Valentine for always doing what R&B needs the truth! When I saw the Podcast notification hit my phone and saw Case! I screamed. You all did that! Thank you so much for bringing R&B music to the forefront. ❤
That damn top 5 ending be killin me 🤣 Tank sounding like an old school church member and J hypin his ass up…I love what y’all doin. It’s so authentic, not fake or forced. And full of happiness, laughter and good stories.
This whole interview was full of laughs, good stories and great music! Nothing like that 90’s and early 2000’s R&B ❤️ Case had them hits that will never get old!
I was a teenager in the 90s and grew up in an overly religious home, R&B, or anything other than gospel was a sin. Then I heard it for the first time, and it didn't feel like a sin to me. I'm a fan of music. Poetry with a melody, lessons, blessings, love, and hate. It's all thing life and the expression of one's emotions.
You just grew up with structure. What you and I had kids today are missing and honestly it’s scary. Most of our RnB came from the church! That’s what today’s rnb is missing. All sounds the same and nobody really stands out. Yea j valentine, case, and tank the are anomalies. But I do get what you mean because it was alot of tradition that’s not even biblical that our older generations forced on us. 💪🏾
Faded Pictures & Happily Ever After are HANDS DOWN 2 of thee COLDEST RNB LOVE SONGS OF OUR GENERATION (Age 45-55) & they will ALWAYS be amongst my top 20 GREATEST RNB LOVE SONGS EVER MADE.....🫡BIGGUPS TO THAT KING FOR HIS BEAUTIFUL GIFT & FOR THOSE 2 AMAZING COMPOSITIONS🫡❕️❕️❕️ 🙏🏾🙇🏾♀️THANK YOU TANK & J. FOR BLESSING US W/THIS EXQUISITE MASTERPIECE THAT IS RNB MONEY - SUMTHN WE JUST DIDN’T KNOW WE NEEDED SO BADLY🙇🏾♀️🙏🏾!!!
BELOVED! 🤣🤣 I'm so sorry but I had to rewind the Shot segment. Tank had me crying!!! Your first thought was a cigarette???! 🤣🤣😩😭 God was looking out for you bruh 🙏🏾
THANKS TANK & J FOR ANOTHER ENTERTAINING INTERVIEW. had to play 'missing you' after watching. Love that tune. I also FOUND THE JOE VERSION & all tho very similar, Case's version has a much warmer sound too it. Guessing the tracking sounds & drums & production is the reason, plus a nice mix.
Smiling from ear to ear. When I tell you I enjoyed this episode from beginning to end. I love me some Case. Case be so interesting I wished the episode was like for 4 hours lol he look like he had stories upon stories.
No, music had started to get watered down in the 90's but Case stood out!!!! He was one of the few that really made you feel that song. Love your song, "Happily Ever After", to this DAY. ❤❤❤💯💯💯Everything about that song is on point!! Thank you, Case.
Awesome interview!!! The chemistry, Case tells his story so well, and its just real and authentic...I love it here!!❤ Love his music!! Absolutely timeless!!
Yes FINALLY Case is on R&B Money Podcast...who do you want to see next? Personally want to see Usher to coincide with his halftime show but might be better after so he can talk about it
This was GREAT! I love hearing the artists of my teens speak. We NEED… Donell Jones 👑🌹 and Dave Hollister 🌹👑 I would also love to hear Amel Larrieux, Mya, Tamia
Y'all did it again.....every week I say " this is the best episode yet" and every week I'm wrong. Sooo, I'm going to stop and just enjoy the thrill of Greatness. I'm happy to be a part of the R&B Money Community. Keep up the great work, peace and blessings.
You all explaining the cost of music videos makes so much sense as to why the ones today look so homemade in comparison. I still connect songs with videos from my childhood. They were like mini movies
some indie artists don't have those budgets it is more cost effective to shoot a video on your I phone now newer artists typically don't get a lot of money for videos unless they have a huge hit or take out loans to get something really expensive.
This man named Off The Wall in his top 5! Finally, justice for my all-time favorite MJ song. The way it lifts the spirits and immediately improves my mood 🤗
I just realized that I never got to know Case's personality, I don't think I've ever seen an interview from him. Im so excited to see this. His music is timeless 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿❤️
So the way this is starting off, I would say Joe is the next guest por favor! Such a fan of Case! 90s RnB still reigns elite! 🥰🙌🏾 And Tank & J Valentine still ignant and I’m hea for it! 😂🤣 Thank ya’ll!!
Met Case at the airport in Kansas, years ago a day after a Valentine’s Day concert he was apart of and he was cool af very down to earth and approachable.
Just hearing the name “Case” brings back all kinds of feels! This is one of those that we played in the car and EVERYONE (who can’t sing) sang our hearts out all the way through! ❤
